Headed Home

Soooooooooooo excited to be going to Charlottesville!! I have been since we chose it for the Great Harvest and I can’t wait to see it with new eyes 🙂

I’m making the drive with the CEO, who is coming with us to some developer meeting tomorrow. We may have a top choice location after this weekend!

Matt is already there and has had two great meals and I can’t wait to join him! We haven’t seen each other awake since last Saturday!

Mike brought us Great Harvest sandwiches for lunch. I requested the pimento cheese. It has candied pecans and red pepper jelly!! Sooooo good. I asked for a half but was delivered a whole so I split the difference and gobbled down 3/4

 this !

My contribution to lunch was carrot sticks and fresh fruit. An orange and kiwi for me and an apple for Mike. (I saved the kiwi for a snack though).

See you at our (new) home!

Is that a Mini Cooper you are riding in? I had one and miss it dearly, but with 2 kiddos in car seats, not practical. My brother lived in C’ville for med school and residency. Awesome place. He misses it.

This isn’t really related to your blog but since I’ve become a reader, I researched Great Harvest Bread and was SO intrigued! I LOVE to bake bread and this bread company sounded awesome. I found one that ships their bread and bought some – High 5 Fiber and Honey Whole Wheat and OMG! THIS BREAD IS FANTASTIC!

Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing bread. 🙂

I found one in Lousiville lol. I’m in Texas so it took three days but the bread is still RIDICULOUSLY good.

        Here’s the link: http://www.greatharvestlouisville.com/sweetsandtreats.html

I froze most of the bread since I can’t eat all of it by myself (college student living on my own in an apartment) but I can’t wait to delve into the bread! I had 3 slices already today haha. Kath – thank you so much!

    Hi Kath,
Have you ever considered taking an off day from exercise? Especially since you’ve been sick and now have a blister. Do you experience exercise guilt when you don’t exercise?

This comment has little to do with this post, although opening up a bakery sounds SO SO SO exciting, it has to do with your decision to become an RD. I recently graduated with a bachelors in anthropology and after a year of being out of school, I am seriously thinking about going back, slogging through the science pre-reqs and becoming an RD. I guess I want to know more about your experience, how as a non-science major (you said you did history originally) you got through the science classes, and how it was for you. I realize that’s a really huge question, but I want an idea of what I am getting myself into from the perspective of someone who decided to follow a different dream after already completing one degree and working for a while. I understand if you don’t have time to respond to this, but would really appreciate hearing about your experience.

    Thanks,

    Mai
