Harvest

We had a special guest join us for breakfast! Mr. Great Harvest himself, Mike Ferretti! He’s in town speaking at the UVA business school, and since we don’t yet have GH bread to serve him, we settled for oats

Smile this !

He liked the freshly opened jar of Nuttzo PF a lot (and Mike’s quite the nut butter aficionado!) I had forgotten how good it was too! Texture heaven.

I’m sporting the vampire repelling Garlic Gold oil – 20% off through Halloween. We’re going to be trick or treating out some other deals and steals in the next week or so too! Be on the lookout for Ghost Blood on sale. Boo Vampire bat

But Kath would you agree that adding 12 sugary toppings on top of oatmeal is not a great way to lose weight? There are healthier options than this, I would think. Just playing devil’s advocat! Have a great day! 🙂

You can eat oatmeal without lots of sugary toppings, sure. I have oats, almond butter, and almond milk (with some raisins thrown in for texture, but that’s just me). No sugar there, and it’s delicious!

Eh, I like raisins and I’m not trying to cut my sugar. I just wanted to point out that you don’t have to have lots of sugary toppings for oatmeal to be delicious on its own.

Well I hardly think my toppings are 12 in count and are all made of sugar. I am more liberal because I’m not trying to lose weight and have the wiggle room. I didn’t recommend that she put on lots of toppings – just that oatmeal itself is totally fine. Even with banana, chias and a spoonful of peanut butter is totally fine if it fits into energy needs
