Hair + Toes

Fun fun fun but busy busy day!!! I’m JUST now getting to blog!! No more 12:26 autoposts for lunch 🙂

After breakfast I did some computer work, then went to the post office to mail in my internship paperwork, then to the bank, then to Target for a few items then to lunch with Miss Red Head Recipes! Lauri just finished her internship yesterday too!

IMG_0101 (640x480)

IMG_0102 (640x480)

We went to Dean + Deluca for their delicious salads!

Mine had greens, veggies, avocado, olives, capers, blue cheese, garbanozs.

IMG_0107 (640x480)

Don’t ask me why customers need TWO GIANT dressing containers!!

IMG_0099 (640x480)

I like getting two for the variety, but they were humongous!

IMG_0100 (640x480)

Bubbles to drink

IMG_0105 (640x480)

I also got a slice of bread for $.25 because I felt I needed some carbs but it was dry and boring and I didn’t eat much of it.

IMG_0106 (640x480)

IMG_0109 (640x480)

Next stop: I got all my hairs cut!

IMG_0111 (640x480)

Megan did a great job – and thought to take a photo of the front and back!

IMG_0112 (640x480) (2)

Pamper day continued at the nail spa. My toes and hair had been neglected for many moons!!

Entertainment. Sadly I did more iPhoning than reading!

IMG_0115 (640x480) (2)

Ballantyne Nail Spa is my favorite in Charlotte. They do all the good stuff: 3x leg treatments, long massage, and hot wax!!!!! Plus they have good chairs, a nice clean, airy feel and friendly staff.

IMG_0116 (640x480) (2)

And wine!! I actually just asked for some water to begin…then I saw the wine pour next to me and asked for a tiny sample glass. I didn’t quite finish this – just wanted some sips! I almost always get pedis in the morning and never want wine, so I decided I needed to take advantage of the fact that I was there in the afternoon!

IMG_0114 (640x480) (2)

Home now. Ready for a snack! Then gotta laundry and pack for the beach. We’re leaving first thing in the AM!

I love the hair! She did great! 🙂 I’m trying to grow mine out to pretty much that exact length – but it’s so hard to just let it grow and not be annoyed with it and chop it short!

So fun! I love grocery store salad bars!

    Your hair looks cute!

I never knew you could get wine at a nail salon, but then again, I’ve only been to a nail salon once, and it was in a Walmart.

Your day sounds fabulous, & I LOVE your haircut!! That salad looks scrumptious & wouldn’t need more than a few drops of dressing…it’s sad how wastful restaurants are! I found out recently that Verizon will most likely pick up the iPhone in January which I definitely want, but I was just wondering, would you recommend it? I’ve heard both positives & negatives about it from users so I thought you would be a great source of advice since you use it a lot to take pictures & blog. Good luck packing, I’m so jealous of you going to the beach! 🙂

Here’s a yummy salad I’ve had of late:
    green romaine
    black beans
    corn
chicken breast slices (seasoned with fajita-like flavours, ie chili seasoning)
    shredded cheese
    tomato-basil dressing / salsa
    MMM!
    fiesta! 🙂

You are so cute, glad you had a day to pamper. I’m going to the beach tomorrow, too but the NJ shore with extended family and TEENAGERS, ugh, including two of my own. Enjoy your solitude while you can. Looks like a great week for us with forecast highs in the upper 90’s and sunny every day 🙂 How’s your weather forecast?
