Grainy Mustard

Mmmmmm mustard for breakfast! Overnight oats actually taste really good mixed with a little mustard!

IMG_5373-2Blog

Just kidding!!! The jar was empty and clean! Just some OOIAGPJ

IMG_5385-2Blog

Smashingly delicious mixed with milk, yogurt, blueberries, chia seeds, banana, a pinch of salt, sunflower butter and Cville Cluster granola bits!

Vanilla tea by Adagio – really like all 3 flavors that I ordered!

Amazing Tech Tip Of The Day

Google Chrome is my browser of choice. It’s sleek, super fast, and has a very simple header – no distracting toolbars or superfluous buttons. It has an autofill feature, but it doesn’t work very well. Meaning, it doesn’t auto fill. It just saves things in the blank. For months (years!) I’ve been having to do a rumba on my keyboard to get my saved information to pop up using the arrow keys and my mouse.

Last night I discovered while searching for autofill Chrome extensions that if you double click on an empty blank your most used saved energy will populate. Two clicks. No touching the keyboard. Life changing.

Now commenting on blogs that don’t save your info is easy!!!

This concludes your amazing tech tip of the day : )

My house is FINALLY unpacked. My suitcase was unpacked within an hour of getting home, and I did laundry yesterday. But there was all this clutter that had to be dealt with too – like packages and mail that came and the contents inside that had to be addressed. I finished up my list and de-cluttering last night and things are now calm again.

Quick shower –> bakery time! I’ve missed being there and am excited to go in!

Aaaah, I love the feeling of restored order. I still have yet to unpack from my vacation – I think I might be feeling like if I don’t, I can still pretend I’m there. I think I’m just going to have to bite the bullet tonight and get it done.

And also? You TOTALLY had me going on that mustard thing. I was thinking “What?! Am I really going to have to try this now just out of sheer curiosity?!” I’m VERY glad it was just a joke. Haha.

Happy return to the bakery day! 🙂

Really!?!?! I *hate* how Chrome doesn’t really auto-fill. Mine saves my blog commenting info – but does not work when I am trying to fill out forms, ordering something, inputting addresses, etc. I’m going to try that. Thanks for the tip!

    Mmmm, mustard for breakfast. Ha,ha.

My health food store had a whole new ‘seeds’ kind of display. I started small by putting a big spoonful in with the granola I was putting into my yogurt, and loved it! I love millet and the seeds in kiwi and sesame and poppy seeds anyway, so this kind of texture-add is right up my alley. Thanks! Looking forward to doing more with it soon.

    Hi Kath!
As an avid reader of your blog for years I’m ashamed to admit that I’d never tried overnight oats before – that is, until this past weekend. I hate oatmeal (I almost feel like typing that on this site will send a bolt of lightning hurling at me!) and always have, so I’ve been looking for a way to make it palatable. Well I’m happy to say that overnight oats in a jar are the way to go!!! Made them just like your recipe says and they gelled up nicely so it was like eating really thick yogurt with oat pieces and banana in it. The chia seeds definitely make a difference – I made two versions, one with the chia and one without – and the chia gelled much better. So thank you thank you thank you for making me eat oatmeal again! I can’t say I’m in love with it but I like it well enough to eat it 2-3 times a week and that’s good enough for me. Another convert!

I have wholegrain mustard most days for breakfast! On toasted rye (no butter) and topped with 1 or 2 hen or duck egg,s fresh and warm from the nest. Sheer heaven!

First thought that ran through my head with the first lane, “She’s gone crazy.”

i’m glad to hear you like the vanilla tea as well… because i went crazy and bought 5 samples packs from their website last night! i got coconut, caramel, apple, vanilla green, and peach white. i realllly wanted the birthday cake, but it doesn’t come in the small samples, so i’ll get it next go-around. thanks for sharing about their teas; i’m really excited to try them!

    Mmmm mustardy oats.

I already said this but I LOVE Adagio teas!! Such great teas. Might I suggest the Earl Grey Creme or the Coconut Creme (tastes like marshmallows!) from Persimmon Tree Tea? So yum.

for a second i actually believed you were that crazy. that’s a little far for me. but maybe some kraut and veggies in a waning mustard jar might not be bad!
