Overnight oats in a jar is my favorite breakfast! Especially in a sunflower butter jar.
But not so fun for you because it’s just not very photogenic in any way!
Inside I had basic overnight oats recipe plus banana + blackberries.

Oh’s are the new granola!
I really wanted a cup of coffee on this dreary morning.
Rain
= bad for me
=good for these guys
So I settled on frothy Birthday Tea instead.
Frothed with my IKEA frother
Steeped in the Ingenuitea. Note I found this as a freebie surprise in a paid tea order from Adagio, but I’ve since discovered it’s the best tea steeper I’ve ever used.
Have a sunny Wednesday inside your head!
I don’t know about that, look at that bright label! 🙂 Ooh…frothy! Enjoy your day!
I love the last picture! Enjoy this rainy day.
I have 2 very random questions for you. 1. Do you happen to know if there are any instructions out there of how to make your own lightroom templates. I’ve been playing around with mine but they don’t seem to work the way I want them to. Just thought I’d ask you since in my mind you’re a lightroom and photography expert 2. How do you come up with the titles of your posts? They are always so creative! Have a great day 🙂
Do you mean for layouts of photos? I created mine myself – they are tricky to do, but once you have them saved, you can use them over and over.
I have no idea on titles. Sometimes it’s the hardest part of a post!
I tried creating mine myself too…and failed. I created a couple of different templates but whenever I want to use them I have to use the same picture for the whole template i.e. if I want to add 4 DIFFERENT pictures in one template it will only allow the SAME picture 4 times. But I really don’t want to bother you with my Lightroom problems, just thought I’d ask!
I think your problem is in the first very box – “layout style.” Design your grid in custom package instead of single image/contact sheet
OK 🙂 Thanks for your help!
That froth looks heavenly!
I would love to taste the birthday tea, but I can’t find it, from where did you get yours?
Adagio – linked in the post
Thank you!
Enjoying a sunny day here with a ‘bite’ in the air. Perfect for running! Love your oats in a jar! Photogenic or not…I bet they were tasty! Hope the weather clears up for you!
Oats in a jar always look good to me! I’m so close to getting some of my own… I may have to eat 1/2 C of PB somehow today. 🙂
Make cookies! 🙂
I LOVE my Ingenuitea!!! I use it every evening. So easy to use and I love the Adagio tea flavors too!
I love Oh’s, but have only had them on their own! Love the way you mix and match breakfast foods.
i couldn’t agree more! overnight oats is definitely my favorite breakfast, especially in a sunflower butter jar! yum.
Who cares if overnight oats in a sunflower butter jar don’t look pretty- they taste better than pretty much any other breakfast I can think of!
I know the pollen sufferers (of which I am not one of, thank goodness) are rejoicing for the forecast over the next few days! And man, we do need the rain (even though I’m selfish and will complain that I can’t be playing outside).
Ahhh I love overnight oats!!! doesn’t matter if they aren’t pretty!
No script 🙂
PS. When my cast comes off, I’ll be able to fit into KERF longsleeve T….until then it smiles at me from my wardrobe
neat tea brewer.
Got the same tea steeper and used it this morning with Adagio as well! We just ordered a massive bag of their white apricot tea. Pretty tasty. Happy Wednesday!
I was hoping there would be MORE rain but it seems to have stopped over here. Wash away the pollen!!
I agree – that’s always my only dislike about overnight oats in a sunbutter jar. Pros: delicious, no clean up, prepared upon waking. Cons: There is just no way to take an attractive photo of it!
I need to get that frother! I have an Ikea trip to make sometime soon and I will definitely put the frother on my list of things to purchase 🙂
I feel the same way about the rain here in Atlanta! I need some sunshine soon! I hope you have a great one Kath!
I haven’t tried Adagio’s Birthday Tea, but David’s Tea came out with one this month called Birthday Cake and it smells deee-viiiine! In fact… that might just be where I go on my lunch hour today. 🙂 Happy Humpday Kath! 🙂
Hi Kath!!!
I had overnight oats this morning too!! Hadn’t had them in a while, but since they looked so good when you’ve been posting about them, I decided to put them back in my breakfast rotations. Congratulations to you and Matt on your little one!
Love the frothy and the rainy! 🙂 I would give up photogenic for delicious sunbutter! 🙂
Your raised beds are AWESOME! I can’t wait to see what comes out of them!! 😀 And I really need to try overnight oats in a sunbutter jar. Sunbutter is my fave and now that it’s warm out, no need for hot oatmeal anymore! woohoo.
The Ingenuitea makes the best tea!! And I think it’s so funny how it “pees” the tea out. If you don’t mind that image : )
I LOVE sunflower butter–thanks to you!!! 🙂
Thanks for the tea steeper tip that you like and sunflower seed butter is awesome stuff!
i think your oats are beautiful no matter what 🙂 it’s finally sunny here in chicago! enjoy the day.
Wow…love the yard!!
Haha, sunshine in my head! Love that concept. 🙂
Surely the best way to have your oats! 😀
Question about Adagio teas–I clicked on the link for the birthday cake flavor and it came up, but how do I find more specialty flavors like it without knowing their names. I guess what I’m asking is how would I find that tea without the link and without knowing the exact name. Sorry if this was clear as dirt!
If you just go to Adagio.com and look at the top you’ll see Blends – those are ones that users have created. TONS to choose from!
I think breakfast out of a jar sounds great! It’s pouring over here in London as well…
Man, overnight oats is probablly one of the most satisfying breakfasts ever….!!! And SSB is the best. I can’t believe that I like it even more than PB. And I hope you have a fantastic day despite the rain! Although..I personally LOOOVE rain 😉
Thankfully, the sun is shining outside, and it is not too cold! Great day for a brisk walk!

It’s too pretty outside to be stuck inside working in the basement. I so wish we had windows.
This comment relates to dinner and lunch from yesterday. I’m “craving” goat cheese, too. No, I’m not pregnant but just really into goat cheese. I went through a small tub of crumbles in 3 days!! Ok, so the husband had some too but still!!! Just thought that was funny!!!
I think it’s photogenic and delicious looking! 🙂
I too had oats in a jar this morning! In a peanut butter jar! SO DELICIOUS… gawsh!
Don’t worry Kath, I am having some coffee for you. I will telepathically send you some caffeine. 🙂 I always seem to need an extra cup on dreary days too.
I think your photos were just perfect. I love using the ends of jars. You can some great unexpected bites of the butter. Love it.
Have a great day.
Kath, do you have plans for a compilation of 2011 favorite posts like you’ve done for previous years? I’m hoping yes. I love going through your lists when I’m feeling the need for more KERF in my life.
Oh I forgot about that! Yes, ill put it on my list
Love that O’s are the new granola! 🙂
A dreary one for us today, too. Heading to the water kettle right now at your tea’s prompting 😉 Must get warm and back to work!!
Photogenic or not, OOIAJ are the Best especially in a sunbutter jar!
Have you tried the Maranatha’s sunflower seed butter?! I thought the stats looked a little better than the Sunbutter!
I haven’t yet, but I just bought some of their almond butter
I love Sunbutter and TJ’s sunflower butter, but Maranatha is hands down my favorite. Super drippy and salty!
I just bought 2 Ingenuitea…one for me and one for mom! Thanks for the link! They have some great teas. Can’t wait to try the chai and the samples that come with the Ingenuitea.
Thanks again!
Hey Kath,
Did Matt do a how-to post on those garden beds and I missed it? If not, would you be able to convince him to do one? I’d really like to try to do some of those this year!
We haven’t yet, but I’ve asked him if he would consider doing one
Great! Thanks for the response!
I have that tea infuser! It’s great unless you set it down tilted off the edge of a coaster and accidentally hit the valve…
I need to get more sunflower butter…yum!
I just recently bought that jar of sunbutter and have been warming up to the taste little by little – it seemed a bit strong to me when compared to almond or peanut butter. But just this morning my 13 year old saw that I was eating it and told me that I should not because it has so much fat,a nd that only people who have alergies to peanuts and tree nuts should eat it. I looked at the label (something I obviously should have done before) and was quite surprised, as I assumed it would be similar in fat content to PB or AB. Are there any nutritional benefits beyond what you can get from peanut or almond butter? Although I am now liking the taste, I’ll definitely drop it because of the fat content.
It’s made from a seed… Nothing unhealthy about seed fats
Its healthy fats if eaten in moderation (1-3T) so for me personally I think its great.
Kath,I thought the fat content of different nut butters are roughly similar maybe a couple grams different…am I wrong (I’m just curious)? Thanks 🙂
You’re right, they are comparable. Check out this chart:

I love the IngenuiTEA. Adagio has some wonderful teas as well; I love their herbals. Foxtrot and raspberry patch are my favorite. No cream/froth (ha!) necessary.
i seriously just spent 30 minutes on adagio’s website…how crazy!! i want to make my own blend now! i am a tea horder….i guess it could be worse! i now have them bookmarked! thanks!
