Get Smart

Karen and I had a nice morning out – she is now feeling extra smart with her brand new Galaxy S III! I am DYING for this phone since my Samsung Infuse is not eligible for the Android ice cream sandwich update. I have to wait until March to get it discounted on my AT&T plan – counting the days! [This phone should not be affected by Apple news..]

I had lots of fun setting her phone up for her. She’s having a bit of a learning curve with the keyboard, but she’s getting better by the minute. We had a hilarious laugh about how she was going to tell the bakery employees that she got a phone that “comes with an ice cream sandwich.” : )

Foodblog-38-2

As a thank you for my help and a celebration of my last days before becoming a mom, Karen treated me to a pedicure!

Foodblog-114138

We had fun video chatting with Matt from the bakery! Technology is so cool!

I got home at 1 and put together lunch

I have a meeting, a delivery to make and an evening event scheduled tonight. See you at sun down!

My MIL is pretty tech-saavy and has had a smartphone for a while now. My mom still has a flip-phone that is about 6 years old and has no idea how to text! She also still has a landline at her house, and uses that more than anything.
Hooray for pedicures! Did that one spa ever contact you (the one that I gave your info to)?

What a fun day and a GREAT idea to get a peidcure! How fun!!
I know Karen reads the comments but if not, tell her she will totally get used to the keyboard and will LOVE, Love, love her smartphone! If you didn’t tell her already, the auto rotate feature of the phone to the bigger keyboard really helped me to adapt to a smartphone keyboard. Also swiping, especially when I use the smaller keyboard.

Wouldn’t it be nice to just “make a delivery” of a baby that you could schedule in your afternoon ?! 🙂 I know that’s not what you meant but you are seemingly doing quite well being patient! Such an exciting time for you guys, best wishes!

But it’s not yogurt, it’s skyr! And oh-so-delicious, healthy, and all-around fantastic. Whenever I go to Iceland, I consume a disproportionally high amount. I do like the Siggis brand, but wish that skyr in general was easier to find in the US. New business venture?… =)

I have to say, I was a totally Android person, and then I kept having issues with freezing, etc, etc. and then got an Apple and won’t be going back. I find it incredibly user-friendly and really reliable. Plus, the camera is great quality.

I got a pedicure (at week 40) painted with bright orange nails! It was the talk of the town during the delivery room–everyone commented on them in-between pushes! 🙂 I only wished that the pressure points during the foot massage would have done something to bring my sweet one out sooner–born at 41 weeks (induced), but it was a super labor/delivery (just under 3 hours, and 4 pushes). Much love to you in this home stretch of waiting and anticipating!
