From Open Sky To The Open Sky

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so good the morning after a wedding 🙂 Hooray! I woke up naturally around 7:45 and was inspired to test out the hotel gym – I wanted to S W E A T 🙂

IMG_0293 (480x640) (2)

Very impressive gym in terms of the equipment quality. The elliptical was great, and I had the space to myself. There were two other gym rooms in the hotel to use if they filled up. Smart thinking!

IMG_0286 (640x480) (2)

Here’s my attempt at an action shot –

IMG_0291 (640x480) (2)

After packing up and checking out, we headed over to the post-wedding brunch. Whitney and Jason are headed to Argentina for their honeymoon and the restaurant was of the cuisine.

IMG_0294 (480x640) (2)

The spread was gorgeous

IMG_0301 (640x480) (2) IMG_0295 (640x480) (3)IMG_0297 (640x480) (3) IMG_0296 (640x480)  IMG_0298 (640x480) (3) IMG_0299 (640x480) (2) IMG_0300 (640x480) (2)

I was thrilled to fine plain yogurt and granola!! I complemented it with fruit, caramel spread and honey. Mmm!

IMG_0304 (640x480) (3)

I also had a fruited bread (tastings), fruit and some Malbec jam that was out of this world

IMG_0305 (640x480) (3)

Matt shared a bite of his choco croissant 🙂

IMG_0307 (640x480) (2)

We enjoyed espresso

IMG_0308 (640x480) (2)

And later, a cappuccino

IMG_0311 (640x480) (2)

We both wanted to try a regular croissant after hearing so many people rave about them, and since this was brunch, we indulged

IMG_0314 (640x480) (3)

I had about 1/3 of this bad boy and my was he good!

IMG_0315 (480x640)

Matt thought so too!

IMG_0317 (480x640)

Jen, one of the readers who came to the Brooklyn Brewery, brought me some Wisps! I LOVE these after trying a sample from a blog event earlier this year, but can’t reason using one every day for my commute when I can brush at work, but for on the go – as in in taxi – it was the perfect post-brunch freshener. Loved the spearmint flavor and can’t wait to try cinnamon!

IMG_0319 (640x480) (3)

We went (with suitcase and luggage in tow) from brunch to the Open Sky offices for an official visit and meeting with the whole staff. They’ve got quite the beautiful office space! (Wide open – heh heh).

IMG_0910

IMG_0913

Ladies, Andy says hello 😉 We may have a surprise for you coming soon too!

A quick meeting later, we piled back into a cab to head to JFK.

Check out the expiration date on our cab’s seat – our wedding day!

IMG_0320 (640x480) (2)

Goodbye New York. I can’t wait to come back [and there are plans for an Open Sky visit this summer in the works!!!]

IMG_0321 (640x480) (2)

[Guf I have spent $28 on internet this weekend – for the love of the blog!!]

To the air I go!

Good for you! I think the wisps are an incase of emergency only type item. A tooth brush and tooth paste will give you a better teeth cleaning and cut back on waste and money spent. This is a very good choice! (Sorry that sounded kind of placating- I don’t mean it to come off all guidance council-ery. But every word of it is sincere and true. I think you are making a good choice. See, I can’t stop apparently.)
