Fratastic

IMG_0071 (640x480)

It’s been a fun fun morning in beautiful 70* weather, good music and fun times.

Those boys used to be sooo wild.

IMG_0067 (640x480)

IMG_0073 (640x480)

Gosh, check out the ceiling of this place

IMG_0072 (640x480)

Ha Snake!

IMG_0076 (640x480)

FOOZ

IMG_0080 (640x480)

IMG_0081 (480x640)

The frat guys had a bunch of these Southern Tide croakies that they get in exchange for photographing them. I took one and said I’d blog about it 😉

IMG_0077 (640x480)

IMG_0078 (640x480)

The guys are having a BBQ fundraiser for the Red Cross with all the fixins and a bluegrass band.

IMG_0087 (640x480)

Not knowing what would be served, I picked up a salad from the Harris Teeter salad bar to bring.

IMG_0084 (640x480)

Sun-dried tomato tofu, beans, veggies and fruit.

IMG_0083 (640x480)

I also enjoyed one of these non-alcoholic drinks 🙂 Gotta have some Coke every now and then. [Although now I am so thirsty!!]

IMG_0085 (480x640)

It’s so fun to be back on campus. We were just debating how many pages we must have read while here. Davidson was HARD work but one of the best experience of my life. Do I have any Davidson readers!?

My sophomore dorm!!

IMG_0068 (640x480)

Love seeing a composting poster on the door of a frat house!

IMG_0079 (480x640)

I plan on eating this apple around 3 as a pre-wedding snack along with a few cashews from our welcome bags 🙂

IMG_0088 (640x480)

Excited!! Love is in the air!

I’ve been loving salads lately – warm weather is in the air!

I used to be shy about bringing my own food to places where food was part of the event, but I found that the best reaction to give when people comment….is no reaction. I ENJOY my food 🙂 – People are less critical when they realize that you aren’t affected by their reactions and are doing what you are doing because you enjoy it!

GO CATS! Davidson Class of ’03

Kath, I met you when you were a freshman and I was a sophomore. At the time I was also the Overnight Hosting Coordinator for the Admissions Office, going door-to-door and begging freshmen to host prospective students. You graciously agreed (of course)! 🙂

I love your blog and read it daily. Our favorite discovery so far has been baking sweet potatoes “low and slow.” Thanks for sharing your journey with us – can’t wait to hear about the new adventures in Charlottesville!
