Feel Good Foods

Finally – a good night’s sleep!! I guess 2 nights caught up with me. I slept like a rock, or as Karen would say “I slept hard last night.” Ha!

I was so happy to be in the house of a fellow foodie this morning for breakfast. No shame having cake for breakfast sometimes, but I never feel as good on the inside when I’m traveling. There’s something about the proportions of my favorite breakfasts, lunches and dinners that make me feel so good.

And they taste great too!

IMG_6038

I whipped up a big smoothie for Emily, Casey and myself this morning. It was filled with unmeasured cups of frozen mango, frozen strawberries, vanilla almond milk, 2 bananas and chia seeds.

Smoothie

And topped with Hemp Plus granola (my FAV!) and sunflower butter (my other FAV!)

IMG_6039

IMG_6036

Bit of coffee to balance the cold

IMG_6042

Half full though!

I was supposed to hit the road 2 hours ago but Emily and I have been talking and talking and talking!! I just took a lovely shower with all of her tea tree spa products, and I’m on my way back to the mountains.

I know what you mean about eating while travelling! I never feel satisfied unless I’ve made breakfast for myself, the way I like it and in the portions I’m used to! I find I either eat too much or too little when I’m away.

I must try and track down some sunflower butter…that sounds great!

I know what you mean – I never feel as good while traveling. Often because the people I’m traveling with or staying with just don’t think of of food in the same way. I have a friend who literally eats no vegetables…and is pretty much grossed out by everything I eat.
