Eating Clean The Healthy Apple Way

Foodblog (1 of 8)

Good morning friends! I have the honor of celebrating my friend Amie’s new cookbook launch today with a delicious, bright, super-food packed recipe from the book.

Eating Clean

Eating Clean: The 21-Day Plan to Detox, Fight Inflammation, and Reset Your Body! came out this week, and I couldn’t be more excited for Amie. She has been a friend for years, and I love her hilarious and friendly personality! We once ate all the cupcakes in NYC together. Her blog, The Healthy Apple, is NYC based and full of recipes made with real food.

Amie

I chose these Sunrise Nori Wraps with Spicy Tahini Drizzle from the cookbook to share with you guys.

Foodblog (8 of 8)

They were smashing, and of course contain a rainbow of real food.

Foodblog (4 of 8)

I loved the sauce, and it really made the recipe shine. Tahini + dates!

Foodblog (3 of 8)

The wraps came together in minutes, and the simple roll up was so much easier than sushi : )

I love a creamy balsamic dressing. I have a restaurant by my house that has the best one!

My favorite is Frank’s Original hot sauce. As the commercial says “I put that s**t on everything!”

Does chocolate sauce count? Haha. I’m a big spice mustard person when it comes to sandwiches and burgers.

Japanese mayo mixed with sugar. We like serving it with chilled, blanched asparagus.

I love hummus as a sauce. So I’m definitely trying out the sauce you posted here — tahini and dates would be perfect!

I love pesto! So real, so simple but so delicious. Would love to check out this book. Anti-inflammatory diet is something I’d love to explore more since my children have juvenile idiopathic arthritis. I’ll check this out!

Favorite sauce would have to be teryoki because it’s a little savory and a little sweet. You can jazz up any old thing with it, and it packs a great flavor punch
