Compliments Of The Fridge

Delicious no-cook breakfast this morning!

IMG_1676

Too bad it’s a chilly morning so I was more in the mood for a hot breakfast. But once I added a sweater and a down blanket, I was good to go!

IMG_1677

Overnight oats made with blueberries, the last of my Cville Cluster crumbs and sunflower butter. Delicious and gone way too fast!

IMG_1681

Plus cold brewed iced coffee. I put 1/4 cup decaf grounds in my french press along with about 20 ounces of water and let it sit overnight. Pressed this morning and it was perfect!

IMG_1679

Happy week!

I love that bowl. It’s so cute 🙂 It was quite chilly this morning. I’m liking the weather. It’s a nice change from the heat and humidity. Happy Monday!

I am loving overnight oats recently. well… mine are always more like two-hour oats. so good. I’m going to try the silken tofu idea from happy herbivore this week as a yogurt swap. 🙂

I need to figure out how to make good iced coffee! Right now I just brew coffee normally from my keurig and stick it in the fridge!

Love the polka dots! I also had a cold brekkie this morning but could have done with a warm one. I’m sipping plenty of tea now to warm up! Happy Monday! 🙂

Neat idea for iced coffee…never thought to do that before…thanks for the idea! I am loving my crunchy natural peanut butter with banana on toast for breakfast while visiting my mom (it’s her birthday today) without my boys…they have peanut/tree nut allergies. Makes me feel like a kid again!

We had crazy thunderstorms here last night. Even though it’s still raining, it’s so calm this morning and it looks chilly out. I baked a pan of gluten free cinnamon rolls while drinking my coffee and listening to the rain. Perfect Monday morning in my book! I hope you have a great day Kath!

Yay for breakfast! I crave warm foods in the morning too when the weather is cold out. Hopefully the mornings will be warmer though as summer progresses and cold breakfast, like overnight oats or a bowl of cereal, can make a come back!

Without fail every time I have overnight oats it’s a cold morning! But a sweater and/or blanket usually goes the trick for me too 🙂

And I always say the worst part about overnight oats is simply that it’s gone too soon!

Great idea for coffee. Do you put boiling water on the night before and let it cool overnight, or do you put cold water on the grounds the night before. I want to try this!

Hey Kath! I’ve commented a bunch of different times before (well, I like to think that..), especially during the school year…in finals/midterms reading period, you can be sure I read every post. Though I’m less computer-minded and procrastination-prone, I still LOVE your blog during the summer months. As I’ve probably mentioned, I’m from New England – live in CT and go to school at Bowdoin in ME, BUT..my friend who rows at UVA is moving into her new apartment tomorrow and we’ve decided to ROADTRIP it! AKA…I just might ACTUALLY be able to come to your Great Harvest finally! Slash explore downtown cville, the froyo places, your WHOLE FOODS! etc etc. Like a dream come true, basically! Haha. Okay, anyway, I was curious as to what gym you go to, as we (there’s three of us, all sophomores, headed down leaving tomorrow morning) might try and drop in to some class on Wednesday before we head back Thursday afternoon, and I think I can ‘search’ it in a searchbox somewhere, but which healthy snacks are your favorite for long carrides. Hope to see you SOON!

      🙂 Glad you’re coming!

I go to ACAC, which is the big gym downtown. I think you can get a guest pass for $10…not 100% sure though. Enjoy your stay!

I love HOT coffee, I am one of those crazy people drinking hot coffee when it is 100 degrees. My husband laughs at e when I am floating in our pool with a coffee mug instead of a cold drink. 😉
