Cluster Around The Jar

IMG_9561-2Blog

I had to stop bringing home Cville Cluster granola for a while – that stuff is addicting and D E N S E! If you break down the ingredients, most of them are [healthy] fats, which means 9 calories per gram, which means one energy-packed food. It’s been a long time since I’ve had any at home, so I brought it back this week for a little rendezvous.

IMG_9564-2Blog

For breakfast I had a generous serving floating in some Siggi’s drinkable yogurt with a whole small banana. No nut butter or chia seeds necessary in this bowl! So filling and satisfying as it is with flax, walnuts, sunflower seeds and coconut.

IMG_9565-2Blog

Served with a cup of decaf – also something I recently replenished. It’s funny how I like coffee most in the spring + fall but not as much in the winter!

IMG_9567-2Blog

Have a terrific Tues!

Ooh, that DOES look delicious! I can see why having it around the house all the time could be tempting! Glad you got to rendezvous with your old friend. 😉

That bowl/cup is awesome! Granola is my downfall but as someone who needs to gain weight it’s no harm! I’d munch way through it until the jar was empty!

That will make my husband SOOOOOO happy. I accidentally got him addicted during your last Open Sky sale and didn’t tell him we couldn’t just get it whenever we want. He asked me to fly to Charlottesville to remedy that. Haha!

I believe that using brown rice flour in your granola recipe can help make it more cluster-y!

You’ll have to talk them into it if they’re not already making it. Most bakeries will do it for a bulk order. Tell them to talk to us if they want!

The C-ville cluster granola is hands down the BEST granola I’ve ever had. I bought a bag last fall when I was at the bakery and didn’t even notice the nutritional stats. I know it’s full of all good ingredients, but man- it’s definitely calorie dense, like you said! I have to have GREAT restraint not to down a cup full each time. 🙂
