Cinnamon Toast Crunch

IMG_6470Blog

Our loaf of Great Harvest Cinnamon Chip [100% whole wheat!!!] was calling my name from bed this morning. I woke up starving after last night’s smallish dinner!

IMG_6471Blog

I sliced off two small pieces [that’s a salad plate, FYI] and broiled them for toasty crunch. Then added a GRILLED banana (!), a slathering of nut butter and a sprinkle of Lynda’s Granola and flax.

IMG_6485Blog

Cinnamon. Toast. Crunch.

IMG_6472Blog

Served with green tea. [Bland]

Tea-2Blog

Part of this complete breakfast.

    Hi Kath’!
My aunt sent me (she’s great!) and I love your blog. I hope that you will keep me inspired to eat real food while I diet (again!) and try to lose some pounds.
I will spend some time browsing your recipes, but see how much you love oatmeal. I will have to work it into my weekly diet more. 🙂
Where can I find the tablecloth that you show on the table in this post? It is wonderful!
    I’m inspired by you…thanks!

I agree with you on the green tea… I just can’t bring myself to substitute it for other teas. As Jess at How Sweet Eats would say, it tastes like dirty water to me! Your bread however, sounds absolutely delicious!! I think Great Harvest will be selling loads of that!

I absolutely love green tea, but I think the key is to buy loose Japanese green tea (Lipton and other popular brands CANNOT make green tea) and to brew it strong so the delicious grassy taste comes through. And no milk or sugar, ever!

          April 11, 2011 at 3:52 pm

Yes – second to that. You must buy REAL tea. and brew it right so that the good grassy taste comes out. (if you can drink kale smoothies, you can drink green tea!) then i guarantee you’ll love it.
