Buckwheat + Buddha

Mornin’!

I didn’t get a full 8 hours in because I woke up too excited to go back to sleep. And our inn is a creaky old house and made noises all throughout the night 🙂

But much to our delight, breakfast this morning was really nice. Continental, which I’m finding I prefer to formal (buttery!) 3-course breakfasts at inns.

Here are the trays Matt and I filled:

IMG_7368 (640x427)

Lots of fruit, a carrot, raisin, walnut loaf, an apple for later, 2 cereals, 2 coffees, banana

IMG_7369 (640x427) (2)

IMG_7370 (640x427)

I had a cereal – a mix of raisin bran and homemade granola with 2% milk (a treat!!)

IMG_7372 (640x427) (2)

The granola was AWESOME!!!!! Crunchy like grapenuts. It had almonds, sunflower seeds and a bunch of crunch, which I discovered was buckwheat. Recipe pending!! Should have it for you all tomorrow 🙂 Can’t wait to make it myself!

I also had a handful of grapes and strawberries and half of the loaf

IMG_7374 (640x427) (2)

And two of these! Matt’s quote: “I really like this teacup but I’d only buy it if it came with a servant to refill it for me when my two sips were gone.”

Great thinking on the bikes! That should be fun! Breakfast looks delicious. I prefer a “good” continental breakfast to really heavy formal breakfasts any day. Especially in the summer time. Buckwheat is a favorite of mine! So tasty. Have fun today!

    Yummy food!

I have a question about your Camelback- what size/style do you carry? I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I’m not sure if I should get a 50 or 70 oz one. Plus, I don’t know what else I should be looking for! Thanks in advance!
