Breakfast Break

Another gorgeous day here!!

I woke up without much hunger and thought about going to do some exercise, but today work actually won the first-task-of-the-day spot. And with excitement too. I am motivated to get through this semester as quickly and efficiently as possible, so I got a head start on my TODO list for the day.

An hour later, I broke for breakfast when I hunger accumulated.

IMG_1767 (480x640)

I actually had the oatmeal pot out on the stove when I noticed a peach that needed to be eaten and changed my game plan to yogurt + fruit + cereal.

IMG_1768 (480x640)

  • 1 peach
  • 1 plain Chobani
  • 1/2 cup Kashi GoLean Crunch (one of my very favorites! Just opened an old box on its last leg before staleness)
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • A few cinnamon almonds
  • Spoonful Almond Haze stirred and heated to make it runnier, which didn’t really work all that well

IMG_1769 (640x480)

There was yogurt deep down under there!

IMG_1771 (640x480)

+ Marley coffee day II! I’ve been nothing but impressed by the complexity and richness by the two flavors I’ve sampled by them.

IMG_1772 (480x640)

Working more now and then taking another break to exercise in a few hours, which might mean cutting the grass. It’s getting long!

Talking about oat meal and peaches..I actually had that combination yesterday for breakfast, almost similar to your carrot cake oatmeal but no carrots and peaches were stirred in after the oatmeal was done. Adding shredded coconut was what that made the peach + oatmeal combo super yummy. Wish I had taken a picture..

And I know – I’m LOVING this Fall weather! My sister is in Atlanta and says it’s already starting to feel like it down there too!

And totally agree on Kashi Go Lean Crunch (the Honey Almond Flax kind is to die for!)

I had to let you know I had SIAB this AM! Would never have thought of it if it weren’t for you. The smoothie was too thick due to frozen cantaloupe. I learned I do not like melon flavored smoothies (though I love melon) and doctored it up with a bunch of granola and agave. It was actually good.

Some days you just wake up motivated to do work. For me somehow that always happens to be my days out of the office. I still wake up at 8 and get to work on stuff instead of sleeping in or hitting the gym. Why can’t I have that motivation on work days? 🙂

I picked up some peaches from the Farmers’ Market the other day – they need another day or two to ripen. I didn’t like peaches until I lived in Georgia – now I cannot wait for peach season.

    Sarah @ The Foodie Diaries,
It’s an iced tea spoon – very long handle, tiny “mouth”. I love eating with them!

    Jen,
It doesn’t, but I often don’t eat a lot of it at once time. Today was just half a cup. How much do you eat at once and how much fiber do you get on a daily basis? I think both of those factors would influence gas. It’s a lot of fiber at one time!

    Katharine ,
Those are Pier1! Most of mine are Crate + Barrel and Pier1 with a few random dept. stores scattered about. I love bowls 🙂
