Bread Pudding For A Rainy Day

IMG_4971_edited-1 (640x427)

It’s a rainy day, but a cozy one here. We’ve been so lucky to have such sunny weather lately, but I know we need the rain and I’m soaking it up while I can 🙂

Breakfast today was AWESOME!! A twist on toast + oatmeal cravings combined.

I cooked whipped banana Scottish oats per the usual proportions (1/3 cup of everything, half a banana) and added a handful of Apple Crunch bread cubes in the last minute or so of cooking. They plumped up into delicious bread pudding bites!! Will definitely be doing this again 🙂

Topped with BISCOFF SPREAD (!) from a little sample container I’ve been saving and a few salty almonds.

Oatmeal is back!

So is a KERF Classic – a Cali bowl promotion!

All of the new GREEN colored Cali bowls are half off for the next two days. Green is my favorite color (cause of my eyeballs) and I love the new shade and how it matches the infamous green Crate + Barrel spoon

 this !
All of the different sizes are available 50% off here:

We are also getting rain in MA and as much as I hate it, I know we need it.

I love a warm bowl of oats on a cold morning – such a delicious way to start the day!

so I’m not the only oddball! 🙂 I often take a piece of whole wheat toast, give it a swirl of PB and some good jam, then put it in a bowl with a greek yogurt/soymilk mixture over top. Sprinkle the whole works with cinnamon and it tastes like some super moist french toast/bread pudding! Weird but for some reason good!

It is the polar opposite of rainy here… 100* and sunny. Not complaining too much though, bc winter will be here before I know it. I just wish it was under 90*…

Oats + hot weather = over heated Mary lol. Maybe a siab is in order ??

fyi: infamous and famous don’t mean the same thing. infamous has a negative connotation, means sort of like notorious, but in a bad way. so you don’t want to interchange the two.

We’ve actually been wanting to get more bowls for quite awhile now, so I went to the Cali Bowl website. Do they have a non-plastic option, like glass or ceramic? I know these are BPA-free, but I pretty much refuse to serve anything hot in any type of plastic. I like the bowl design and the company’s environmental statement, but I’ll hold out for a non-plastic bowl option.
