Blue Buddha Bowl Breakfast

This cranky crank-o-saurus drank too much wine! Luckily the alcohol residue in my system was mild this morning but I could still feel it enough to make me annoyed. I only had 2 glasses last night! Tastes + 3oz glass + full glass. But that was way more than enough for me to feel the effects. I’m such a lightweight.

A SIAB was obviously my breakfast of choice –

Two bananas I froze yesterday. Today they went from tray –> tupperware

I used to LOVE Living Harvest Vanilla Hemp milk. I picked up a carton with our Healthy Home Market coupon last week. But sometime last year they chanced their formulation and it is SO NOT GOOD. I sadly do not recommend this anymore 🙁 It used to taste like marshmallows and now it tastes like hemp stink nuts. I do like these fruity coconut waters, but not as much as the plain kind. The pineapple overpowered the coconut taste that I love! Coconut water tastes like water with an aroma of coconut at the end. It’s slighttttly thicker than regular water but is no milky at all. More like juice. I figured opening this guy would be good for my hangover 🙂

The Vita-Mix:

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1/4 cup frozen banana slices (plus some more fresh ones on top – I was craving banana)
  • 1/2 carton coconut water
  • 1/2 cup hemp milk
  • 1 scoop Vega Vanilla Chai
  • 2 big handfuls spinach
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Nature’s Path granola on top

Remember the commercial song "Santa Packs are Coming"?

Holidays are coming

Every time I blog about Buddha Bowls I sing it in my head! They ARE coming – we’re just finishing the details with the supplier, who hand makes every order so it’s a bit more complicated. They’ll likely be sold in two packs and custom made!

IMG_1056 (640x427)

Since I didn’t have any with breakfast, I am going to have some hot tea now!

Matt is STILL asleep!! We crashed at 9 last night…12 hours and counting!

Next up: SWIM in my new suit!

Haha, when that cola advert comes on at Christmas, in my house it’s like the ‘tradiotnal’ hint that Christmas is finally near! Good memories 😀
Have a fab swim! Wash away those toxins…

I am a suuuper light weight. Sometimes that’s good because it doesn’t take much. At the same time it stinks because you can’t have much! Don’t worry, you’ll sweat it all out when you go swimming.

I got an unintentional hangover a few days ago from drinking ONE beer… it was a very strong one, though. I think it was 12% alcohol. But it was only a 10 oz. pour. Geez.
Looks like Matt needed to catch up on sleep! He’s got a tough schedule.

My fiance and I noticed the change in formula for the Tempt Hemp milk too! Very disappointing. We found the Pacific Brand of Vanilla Hemp milk to be the most similar on to the OLD Tempt kind. We buy it at Whole Foods. It’s yummy! Thick and delicious!

I hate waking up annoyed! It is so frustrating! After all your smiles last night…maybe you can get back there later today. I tried that Hemp milk last year and loved it…now I am scared after the hemp stink nut comment…why can’t they just leave a good thing alone? I hope your day gets better!

That’s funny—I had a very similar breakfast to shake off the effects of that second glass of wine I really wish I hadn’t had last night. Oftentimes, when I try to roll with other folks my age, I end up regretting it the next day. I’m really hoping that this morning’s workout and afternoon yoga class will make me more pleasant to be around…

Her Doc recommends Coconut Water over all the sports drinks. I thought that was awesome of him 🙂

Bummer, especially because it’s so dang pricey (even when it’s on sale!). Let us know if you find a tasty alternative (I’ll do the same). Happy Saturday 🙂
