Beans + Greens

Howdy-ho!!

I had a once-in-a-lifetime learning observation opportunity occur where I spent my day today. ‘Twas really really remarkable. Wish I could say more!! Just know I had a good day 🙂

Also good because I had a handful of jelly beans before I left! Some Sweet Tart ones. One of my coworkers brought out a huge bag and we all dug in. Tasty! And hilarious because I Googled "handful of jelly beans" and found a photo on Heather Bakes! She gets the credit! Like running into a friend in another city!

Jelly beans

I booked it home and went straight to the gym! I like to keep my brain on its toes and while I was preaching earlier this week how I liked getting my work done and then going to the gym later, tonight I wanted to get it over with so I could spend some time with my stranger of a husband!

Jelly beans make a good workout snack 🙂 I biked to the gym, spent 30 minutes with Real Simple on the ET, did 26 pushups and some ab work and raced back home on my bike.

Packed, photographed and blogged tomorrow’s lunch….

Then pulled together a bunch of leftovers for dinner. We have TONS of food in our fridge right now. Sure makes dinner easy!

Leftover Chicken Tortilla Soup!

IMG_0552 (640x427)

With some microwaved broccoli topped with sea salt and parmesan cheese – simple but really good! I forgot how good broccoli is with toppings!

IMG_0551 (640x427)

All spring green!

IMG_0557 (640x427)

IMG_0549 (640x427)

After dinner I had two pieces of Chocomize, which I had nearly forgotten about! Mmmm…chunky chocolate..

My mailbox must have been really hungry today!!

ALLIEBARS!!!! From what I hear, Allie is keeping the recipe a secret for now. She’s been sneaking them out into the blog world. I can’t wait to have one for a snack tomorrow!!

PEOPLE: Save the Sardines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go buy [and eat] a tin tomorrow.

Have a wonderful evening!

No lid, just in a glass bowl – with some water to steam it. 1.5 minutes?

Ahhh I want some Allie Bars so so so bad!!!!!
Anyways, your dinner sounds good!! Broccoli is yummy but so simple. I don’t understand how people hate it, I’m convinced they have just never had it cooked the right way.

Alliebars look like ota.bars!! I think we might do an exchange 🙂 The brocc sounds awesome…I might have to do that tonight with some leftover steamed brocc I made. You need to make the millet black bean burgs from clean food!!!! SO good…I subbed half the corn out for chopped [frozen organic] peppers. There is quite a bit of onion but I’m sure you’re used to figuring out a substitute…they rocked!
