Bananas Foster Memories Of Breakfast

IMG_6430-2Blog

My alarm did not go off this morning! Or rather, a user malfunction occurred

 this !
Good thing I didn’t have anywhere to be, but it meant my run was delayed by an hour – hence the late post!

I ran my usual 4 mile loop, a little slower and clunkier than usual, but that’s all cool.

IMG_6421-2Blog

Since thinking about french toast last night, I had it on the brain my whole run!! I dipped a slice of High Five in a whisked egg with a splash of milk and then plopped that on a hot skillet smothered in some coconut oil.

IMG_6437-2Blog

Toppings included a banana, browed on the other side of the pan, plus raspberries, coconut, chia seeds, butterscotch chips (nothing healthy about them other than their delicious taste) and vanilla almond butter by Naturally Nutty.

IMG_6429-2Blog IMG_6428-2BlogIMG_6436Blog

Coconut pouching tea on the side – this is coming OpenSky and one of the few non-black teas that I have really loved! It’s got flavor without body, which is unusual.

IMG_6435BlogIMG_6426-2Blog

I have two articles to write today and a handful of follow-ups to handle. Plus errands to run. Busy busy beer bee!

Your lucky that you can still get up and get your run in! If I slept late – I”d be whizzing just to get to work and start running errands, etc. Everything gets pushed back 🙁

I used to hate french toast growing up – my dad made it for us and I wasn’t really a fan of the egg taste (not sure why – Iove eggs). But I compromised and still ate them – but only if they were drowned in maple syrup 🙂
