Apples To Apples

Man, I am WORN OUT.

I don’t know if it was the hours of activity yesterday or back-to-back nights of alcohol or dehydration or the weekend let-down of Sunday or the fact that it’s hotter today, but I feel absolutely drained! No energy to do anything. Even lounging on the couch seems like work!

However, we did find just enough energy in our automobile to drive and do some apple picking + picnicking!

Apple-focused picnic at the top

IMG_2538 (640x427) (2)

And where there are apples, there is PEANUT BUTTER!

IMG_2534 (640x427) (2)

Hummus + zucchini + lettuce + pickle sandwiches

IMG_2535 (640x427) (2)

With a side of apples, carrots and Madison‘s peanut butter, which we killed in two days!!

IMG_2536 (640x427) (2) IMG_2537 (640x427) (2) IMG_2540 (640x427) (2)

We are not ones to turn down the chance to taste-test

IMG_2541 (640x427) (2)

IMG_2545 (640x427)

Tasty, but overpriced

IMG_2546 (640x427)

IMG_2547 (640x427)

IMG_2548 (640x427)

There were BIG plans for an apple donut, but the chocolate + port tasting took away all cravings. Perhaps we’ll come back in October for a donut because they sure did smell good.

IMG_2550 (640x427) IMG_2552 (640x427)

Highlight of my day so far as been stepping in gum

IMG_2542 (640x427) (2)

Oh, and ‘dem apples!

Apple picking is probably one of the biggest things I miss about fall “up north”. Apple picking and pumpkin patches. You just don’t get that here in Texas… It’s sad really.

Looks like it was a TON of fun!!
