An Incredible Sandwich

We’ve spent the last few hours watching The Incredibles. What a cool, fun movie! The animation was just….incred… ok you get it 😉

IMG_2874 (640x427)

We broke around 1PM for sandwiches on our Great Harvest pumpernickel.

IMG_2871 (640x427)

Turkey, cuc, pepperjack, mustard, jalapenos all toasted together

IMG_2870 (640x427)

Plus some orangey sides – clem and carrot with almond buttah

IMG_2869 (640x427) IMG_2865 (640x427)IMG_2866 (640x427)

With some club soda

Beans, beans, they’re good for your heart <3

I’m happy to report that I’m feeling much better. Might just get out for that quick run in a bit 🙂

Hi Kath, I need to get back on track with eating healthy. How do I find motivation?? Do you have any ideas??? Like its awful, I just ate a cheese and hummus sandwich on light wheat bread and brocolli. Felt satisfied..then 10 minutes later I scarfed down an Italian pastry. Why do I do this?!

      Liz,
Maybe you didn’t eat enough variety at lunch. Make your meals more balanced and pleasurable for all of the senses and you’ll feel more satisfied.

I heard that orange colored fruits + veggies keep you looking young. Great lunch combo! 🙂

The Incredibles is such a classic. It’s one of those movies that a toddler AND his parents will both love to watch again and again.

    Love your simple lunch!

i love pumpernickel bread! the darker and grainier the better. it looks like you’re having a very orange day to recover from new years. as for me, i went the green path (broccoli, leeks, kale).

I love animated movies, esp. Pixar! Now that I have kids, I can justify buying them on DVD so “we” can watch them over & over. haha I’m thinking about taking the kids to see the Princess & the Frog tonight, even though my daughter & I have already seen it. So much fun!
