A Visit With Gram

Mazen, Mom and I drove up to Baltimore to visit my grandmother and family last week. I didn’t take nearly enough pictures!

Foodblog-9171

Here we were back in November when M was just 2 months old

Foodblog-8801 this !

Things have changed a lot since then! Mazen showed off all of his skills for Gram, including crawling about, standing, assisted walking, talking (“night night!”), waving, eating and clapping.

Foodblog-9169

This strap-on high chair was a shower gift from a family friend and was so great to bring with us. M kept us all entertained during meals.

Foodblog-9122

He loved playing with this Twinnings truck

Foodblog-9130

Unfortunately the dog’s bowls were also a good source of entertainment.

Foodblog-9127

He had a blast exploring new nooks and crannies after bath time

Foodblog-9140

We adults loved the smoked salmon my grandmother served

Foodblog-9121

Along with a yummy breakfast and lunch in the bistro

Foodblog-9167

But the highlight of the visit was this early birthday cake Gram got for Mazen! We were frosting happy the whole time. Just 3 weeks till he’s one!

Foodblog-9120

We gave our love to Uncle Mel and Aunt Betty.

Foodblog-9177

On our drive back to Cville, sweet M fell asleep with a cracker in his hand. When he woke up he just kept eating it! Ha!

Awe, those are such great pictures! I love the cracker in his hand. =) Enjoy these last few weeks til he turns ONE!! It was an emotional time for me and the best advice I got was to celebrate, celebrate, celebrate to get through it. Happy time, indeed.

Love that cracker pic! What kind of crackers do you give Mazen? Penny is 13 months and I am still giving her Mum-mums but I’d like to mix it up. She has a lot of teeth but I still want to give her something that dissolves a bit, as it looks like what Mazen’s got a hold of might. thanks!

The pictures of you with your mother and grandmother are so sweet! Capturing four generations in one photograph is so neat. All of the food looks great, especially that cake! The last picture of Mazen is too funny as is the fact that he woke up and went right back to eating. I would too! 😉
