A Green Start

Excited about the dayyyyy!! I don’t know if it was starting the day with greens or the fact that I sent in the first draft of my article last night (or the sunshine!) but I am excited. [Speaking of green, you need to listen to this Brendan James song: Green.]

Green smoothie rockin it!

IMG_1453

The Mix

  • 1/2 banana
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 big handfuls spinach
  • 1/4 cup raw rolled oats
  • 1/2 scoop Vega Choc-a-Lot
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • Ancient Granola topping

The key for winter smoothies is nothing comes from the freezer! This was just cooler than room temp (because the milk was the only cold item) so it was totally tolerable on a cool morning.

Lagunitas represent!

Have you seen the new Conan?

image

Matt and I are huge fans, and I’m glad he is back! I Tweet him all the time, but I’ve yet to receive a response (I hear he doesn’t Tweet back?!) Wouldn’t it be fun if he invited me to take the saltine challenge with him!? The new TBS show is on behind me as I’m blogging (was recorded last night), and it’s the same as it used to be, which makes me happy.

And with that, onward!

I actually like when smoothies aren’t super cold often because I’m not a fan of foods at extreme temperatures. They hurt my teeth!

I always get soo confused when you show Brendan James, because he reminds me so much of an actor, but I could never put my finger on. Now I’ve finally got it! Bryan Greenberg:

More a comment on your previous post about your husband’s brewing basement….I saw last night on TV an ad for a new TV show on the discovery channel called Brewing Masters, where the guy goes all around the world to add special ingredients to make new beer flavors. Made me think of you guys!

Last time I was in Boston I had a Conan spotting whilst walking by a cafe. We didn’t want to bother him, but my guy friend looked so excited that Conan actually noticed us and laughed! Although then we went to the cafe for brunch the next day (and requested the same table he was at) and the food sort of sucked.. 😉
