3 ounces

Smells I will miss in the next 12 days:

IMG_7640

The most amazing hand crème I’ve ever found. Smells JUST like a lemon girl scout cookie. 99% as good as eating the real thing.

IMG_7643

This Redken hair stuff Sarah gave me and I use for the smell only (I can’t tell if it makes my hair any different!)

IMG_7642

Because there’s nothin’ like smelling Juicy

IMG_7646

I will also miss this while I am up in moose country:

IMG_7632

Smoothie in a bowl. Using up the fridge!

The Mix

For TWO smoothies

1 banana

  • 2 big handfuls of spinach
  • 1 cup Organic Valley drinkable yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Vega Choc-a-lot
  • 1/3 cup raw oats

Toppings: Crunchy buckwheat granola, coconut, peanut sauce

[Want to hear something funny: My dad reads the blog everyday and said to me over Christmas “I read every word, except for ‘the mix’ which I don’t really get” Ha!]

IMG_7617

That big clump?

IMG_7620

Peanut sauce. I haven’t wanted to open a fresh jar of nut butter before our trip, so I braved the peanut flour again. This time I mixed 2 tbsp flour with 1/2 tsp salt (LOTS of salt!), 1 tsp maple syrup and 2 tbsp milk. Worked great and I liked it a lot for SIAB! It also made a ton!

IMG_7612

IMG_7614

Coffee was weak today 🙁 I’m not wild about our latest variety

IMG_7633

Made up for it with a strong mug!

IMG_7638

IMG_7635

I’m wondering which includes more items: “The 12 Days Of Christmas” song or my 12-days-in-Montana suitcase!?

I’m trying to pack lightly, really, I am!

    Carry-on luggage only? Brave girl!

I always *try* to pack light… particularly after my (checked) suitcase was lost on a trip to Ireland. (Um, it went to London without me? I used to live there, so I think it was just trying to go “home”! I got it back on day 3 of an 11 day trip, thankfully).

The 3 oz rule kills me… I end up filling up my quart bag, and my man’s as well. 🙂

I love all citrus-scented things, yum! The C.O.Bigelow lemon lotion smells divine, too!

I don’t know how you eat smoothies when it is this cold. I just had a hot bowl of oats with some iced water and am not freezing. I think today calls for lots of hot tea, but first…another cup of coffee. Have fun packing…I always dread it.

The smoothie wasn’t cold!! Nothing is frozen in there – just room temp and the milks. It gets room temp by the time I eat it and blend it.
