It was a wild weekend of parties! We attended a chili party on Friday night, a first birthday on Saturday afternoon, a holiday cocktail gathering on Saturday night and a family Christmas party on Sunday. Needless to day I think my Squiggly Line needs a little dip this week!! Sunday morning Matt got up with Mazen so I could sleep in a bit after being out so late. So thankful – I haven’t slept until 8:30 in a really, really long time. And when I woke up, he had made us mini quiches! I had bourbon balls for dinner Sunday night, so here’s to a healthy week ahead!

The food looks delish! Everyone looks so festive. I especially love your friend’s black dress with the sheer top. Gorgeous. Mazen made me laugh. He looks rather perturbed 🙂 Glad to see I’m not the only one that looks goofy with hot rollers in 🙂 Happy Holidays.
Karla says
Love your striped dress! Can you tell me where you got it? Mazen is such a cutie-pa-tootie!

Thanks it’s from Loehmanns 🙂

So much fun and deliciousness! I’d love to hear how you bounce back after a weekend of yummy holiday partying, as I’m always a bit torn about how much more intense to make my workouts and how clean to make my diet. You seem to have a very balanced approach so any tips would be appreciated!
Molly says
What.. oh, WHAT is that wrapped in bacon?!
KathEats says
Cheese + Jalapeno!!
Chelsea @ Designs on Dinner says
The first picture of you is great! You always look good in pictures, but I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you in a candid shot.
These pictures certainly put me in the holiday mood. 🙂

Oh my goodness, how delicious does everything look?!?! I love those mini pies or quiches (can’t quite tell). everything looks so picture perfect!

Wow – so many parties! I also had a full weekend – Saturday holiday brunch potluck with the Chicago Running Bloggers, then a holiday cocktail/dinner party Saturday evening, and then I ran an 8K in the SNOW on Sunday! Haha that was a rough one – spent the rest of the day laying on my couch!
Ashlee@HisnHers says
Looks like a FUN holiday weekend!! You look great. Most of our Christmas parties and celebrations got cancelled due to a crazy ice storm we had in Texas, so I’m alraedy looking forward to next year!
Jessica says
Awww what’s the matter with poor Mazen? He looks a bit upset, lol.
KathEats says
Haha that’s his whining face.
Melissa says
haha – I was going to ask the same question – trust me, he’ll perfect it over the years 😉 LOL
Bob T says
He wants a couple of those bourbon balls.

That first picture set the tone for a fun post. Wonderful to see such spontaneous, natural smiles and laughs! I’m not a huge stripes-and-chevrons fan, but I love that dress – I like B&W, I like the sleeve length, I love the bottom half stripes being different from the top but not in a crazy way! Very flattering. Looks like much fun and good cheer was had!
Sarah (Kale & Cupcakes) says
I love the happiness in this post!! It’s brimming with Christmas and fun. 😀
And I adore your dress! I’m usually a “nice pants, nice shirt” kinda gal, but lately I’ve been into wearing dresses and being more “girly” so to speak. It’s fun to dress up!
Miss Polkadot says
Four parties in three days? Wow! You look great in the pictures and the dress suits you so well.
The idea of using Christmas ball ornaments as card holder is awesome. So festive!
Fingers crossed you’ll get to catch up on sleep this week!

I love the idea of a chili party! This has inspired me to do a chili or even a pasta bar for my birthday instead of going out somewhere! So much fun..this post has inspired me in so many ways! Thanks for sharing!

While everyone’s commenting on your beautiful black and white dress, my first thought was that we have the same pink and blue plaid pajama pants! 🙂
