Boy is my right arm killing me!! Those 3 shots all plunged deep into my bulging shoulder muscle and now I can barely lift my arm. So today’s workout was cycle class – lower body only! It’s hard to tell (because it may be psychological) but I may have a mild case of typhoid , the primary symptom being a slight headache, so I kept cycle very easy and just pedaled for 45 minutes.
I considered breakfast options during cycle:
- Cereal with soy milk
- Cereal with yogurt
- Yogurt with pumpkin + cereal
- BREAD
- Oatmeal
When I got home I said to myself: What do you want to eat? I had no idea! I actually had enough time to make oatmeal and had the pot out and everything, but then at the last minute I decided that we have TONS of bread right now and I should have that. So breakfast turned into PB + B Toast!
Two slices of GH High Five Fiber with 1/2 a large mashed banana, 2 kinds of PB and walnuts. I put Naturally More on one slice and TJ’s PB on the other. I absolutely LOVE mashed banana on toast compared to banana slices, which always have that sliding out effect on me. And it’s sweeter when it’s mashed!
Then came the Festival Of Orange – (and I’m wearing an orange shirt!)
Plus a chandelier frothy coffee (just for Charlie!)
I had my doubts, but this breakfast ended up being very filling. And PB + B toast is one of the best foods on earth. Hopefully it’ll carry me through to noon.
I’m off to play with fruits and veggies in Food Lab. Then I’ll be studying all afternoon and working on some Clinical case studies. I may get my hair cut up to my shoulders this weekend – I’ve got a mullet!

Have Fun!
Love all the orange in your breakfast!
WB
Hmm, I was thinking about switching away from oats this morning, too! MMm mashed banana on toast sounds yummy.
Whoops sorry I didn’t realize you already got your vaccines! Thought you had just went to a meeting about it! Hope your arm and body feel better!!!!!
I love pb+b sandwiches!!
I agree 100% PB and Banana on TOAST is one of the best foods on earth!!! I could eat it for every meal! Hope your arm and head feel better soon!
i could NOT figure out what i wanted for breakfast this morning either. usually i have an immediate craving for either cereal, yogurt, oatmeal/oat bran, ezekiel english muffin, or toasted flax waffles (my main breakfast go-tos, with toppings of course, which very often include almond butter & banana), but today i had no idea. finally settled on a combo.
I love pb on toast! I had that as a snack yesterday! Have a good day. Feel better!
I can just taste that yummy topped GH bread now! Hope your head feels better soon!
Pretty pics this morning! I love all of the orange!
Aww, hate shots and that achy feeling. Hope it goes away soon!
Love the PB & banana combo!
Great breakfast! I like bananas mashed too
Kath,
I know just how you feel! I had these similar shots last year when I traveled abroad… I don’t know if I should say where I went because if it’s the same place, I don’t want to spoil the announcement! lol…
I remember being paranoid about getting sick from them… My arms were sore for a few days and I was like, “uh, is this normal???” ha ha
Watch out for that typhoid shot – mine definitely laid me up for a few days! (Fever, headache, lethargy, etc.) But I guess it’s better than actually getting typhoid somewhere in the bush.
I am liking the orange…. sorry to hear about the painful wing!
So, I tried to take a picture of “chandelier coffee” today… it ended up just being “light bulb coffee”. No fun. LOVE the oranges!
Peanut butter and banana toast definitely is the best! I think I could live on it.
Hope you have fun at clinical!
I have been reading your blog, and you have really inspired me! I am not trying to eat “real” food instead of the processed junk that I usually gravitate to when I try to lose weight. I feel so much better for it, and am really making changes in the way my children and I eat. I made my first bowl of “KERF” oatmeal last night! I posted a picture on my blog if you’d like to see it (www.skinnyhollie.com). Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph your meals for folks like me to marvel at!
Orange is such a bright and cheerful color, I love it! The orange candles look almost as real as your actual oranges!
I had toast today too! I topped mine with just Barney Butter, though. I’ve never tried PB/AB toast with banana, but it sounds like a good combo. Will have to try that some time soon.
The citrus looks great! We’re finally getting more in next week’s delivery…thank goodness!
I completely agree with you, pb and banana toast truly IS one of the best foods on earth. I ADORE it. I need to eat it more often. And mashed naner makes ALL the difference. You’ve got me wanting a second breakfast right about now.
When I saw bread was an option, I knew you would do something creative with it! Of course it looks amazing! I need to try that one day instead of oatmeal since it would not be too hard to make at work!
wow. now that’s what I call toast!pb and banana toast it always the safe bet I make for friends whenever they stay over-everyone loves it!
That toast looks amazing! You cannot go wrong with PB and banana!
LOVE all that orange. Hope your arm feels better!!!
delicious!!!
What a colorful morning.
I’m obsessed with all orange foods so this breakfast looks particularly delicious today!
Hope your arm feels better soon =)
Your toast looks like my bread pudding from last night! but I had sliced nanners and cubed bread
Happy Friday!
I love this breakfast idea! I’ve never had mashed bananas on toast, but it sounds good. Yum.
Sarah
nice and citrus-y! Oranges sound really good right now, my throat is so scratchy.
Your candles remind me of summer! I wish it was warm right now.
mmmm pb toast.
food lab sounds fun today!
hahah oh I highly doubt you have a mullet!
Your hair always looks fab.
Love the festival of orange!
I can’t wait to hear where you’re going! I can’t afford to travel anywhere these days so I love living vicariously through others and thier trips.
how funny that we both had pretty much the same breakfast this morning! This is my last day before Spring Break at college so the apt. is low on food! I scrounged up an orange and honey wheat toast with pumpkin butter and peanut butter!
good luck with the haircut if you get it cut shorter
that toast and peanut butter combo looks exquisite!
That toast looks the way toast should look- absolutely divine! I am dying to know why you’re getting these shots!! Have a great Friday!!
Mmmmm, pb and banana is quite possibly the best combo EVER!
Aw, I hope your arm is feeling better soon!
What?? No oats??!!
Love your breakfast today!
oooh I’d like ME some of that mashed banana. I always wondered why people don’t like spotty and ripe bananas because THEY ARE SO AWESOME to eat in oats, in baking, and like you, on toast!!!!
yummy bfast love the oranges, I am sure you don’t have a mullet..lol
what are the nutritionals on your breads that your husband bakes..per slice?
PB and B on toast is possibly THE best food on earth.
Love the idea of mashing your banana before putting it on bread! In all the years of eating PB + B (or P-Bo Nannas as I called them as a very little girl) I’ve never thought of that. I just get banana slices squirting out from all sides… Brilliant!
Looks like a delicious breakfast, it’s making me hungry!
I’m sure its just psychological (I hope so at least!). I always think I’m going to be one of those that gets the flu from the vaccine and I always feel a bit crappy and about to be sick a few days after getting it. I think I will myself into it though.
Oh how I miss GH bread. I used to stop by all the time for a fresh piece of bread right out of the oven
The PB toast looks soooo good right now. Have a good weekend!
that looks quite similar to my breakfasts that are sans-oatmeal
way to turn toast into some extra special- great breakfast!
What a cute spread! I’m jealous of you getting to go to cycle class. I have nowhere to take them for the time being…)-:
seelee live,
The bread is very dense and heavy. 1 small slice is about 1.5 ounces, or 110 calories. The larger loaf slices are closer to 150 calories each. So today’s breakfast was probably close to 225 calories just for the bread. But remember it’s 100% WHOLESOME bread so I’m fine with it being higher per slice than a fluffier whole wheat because it should fill me up with the packed ingredients.

Hope your arm feels better! Breakfast looked great, I’ll ahve to try that!
It’s fun to see how many of your KERF readers are leaving comments for the t-shirt giveaway. I’m up to 61 so far.
Love the orange candle! Looks almost as delicious as the breakfast
Lia
Yum! That’s so funny, I’m eating a toasted Rudi’s English muffin with crunchy peanut butter on top right now.
For some reason I absolutely LOVE PB + B toast with sliced bananas but I tried mashing it once and got so grossed out I couldn’t even finish it- it’s strange because I’m in love with bananas. Interesting that you prefer them mashed though. Lots of orange!!
pbbanana are definitely THE go-to food in this house
