Dinner @ Kate + Nate’s was a blast!!! Our friends Justin and Amanda joined us for a good old fashioned dinner party
I started with half a Oberon wheat beer – mmm! I also had a taste of the husband’s home-brewed beer -
Kate had the best appetizers!! Sharp cheddar and kashi crackers (!!) and carrots and hummus – (I had about 4 more crackers and more carrot too…who’s counting!). My hosts were impressed that I recognized a 7 Grain Kashi cracker in a blind tasting
Wine wine – martini style!
Kate made a fabulous Turkey + Spinach Lasagna!
Plus herb-y Great Harvest bread and Kate’s famous salad!
And mas vino -
Pour #4?
Seconds on salad!
Kate also made a yummy Apple Crisp with vaniller ice cream!
More Reisling for dessert…
Ladies -
And a splash to end with -
Anna and I have been talking All. Day. Long. Including over an hour after we got home. Time for bed!

I want that Apple Crisp.
That looks like such a nice evening!
Also…just wanted to quickly give you kudos for maintaining such a great, informative, and realistic food and wellness blog. I’ve been an avid Kath Eats reader for quite awhile now, and have really enjoyed seeing how your approach to healthy living as evolved over time. You have always made good and healthy choices, but it seems that you have become even better about allowing yourself some much deserved leeway at times! It can be difficult to fully transition from a weight loss to weight maintenance mentality, but you seem to have done this carefully and conscientiously. I always love reading about the wonderful, healthful recipes you’re coming up with, as well as the steps you take to ensure you’re living your life to the fullest. Thanks for all your hard work!
Looks like you had a great time! I bet that lasagna is fabulous!

What a great night! Can never go wrong with a little wine and delicious food
I can’t wait to have my own place and host dinner parties like this ALL THE TIME!
I haven’t had lasagna is forever and this sure does look divine!
fun night! you girls look very pretty
You are such a good guest. I always make hummus and veggies for guests and then no one eats them but me. So difficult having friends who just want to eat wings all the time.
allie ,
Thanks! My clothes are pretty casual – I shop from Old Navy, Ann Taylor + LOFT, Banana Republic, Lands End. Just the usual girl stores!

Thanks so much for your comment

The famous salad is actually the Sargento salad finisher!!(http://www.sargentocheese.com/products/141/sargento-cranberry-pecan-salad-finishers/)
It’s a joke because Kate has made 2 great salads for us and I always thought they were so good and she said last night she couldn’t hide it any longer that it was a mix!
Kath
Turkey Lasagna sounds great! Does Kate share recipes?
what a fun night! Friends, food and wine!
Kath- I LOVE your blog, but there’s just one little thing I can’t let go any longer- it’s riesling, not reisling… Other than that, I’ve been enjoying your recipes and ideas, keep up the awesome blog!
Wow dinner looks amazing… That salad sound really good. Thanks for sharing her tip!
M,
Sorry, I’ve always been horrible at spelling. It took me 26 years to figure out how to spell nauseous without having to look it up…guess reisling is still in the works

Aww! It’s so fun to see you and Amanda hanging out.
I feel like I made a friendship love connection
