What’s New?

Here is a round up of some of the items that are new in my house!

These beautiful ball jar magnets that my friend Sarah gave me after Mazen’s first birthday! They happen to be made from the same clip art that I used on his invitation. Sarah put magnets on the back of the button rounds. I love them on our fridge!

Foodblog-2515

This Lemon Chesapeake salad dressing. I have professed my distaste for most bottled dressings, but when I saw the simple ingredient list on this Maryland one I knew it was the next best thing to homemade. The hint of Old Bay is amazing! I found it at our Whole Foods.

The paper mache M that blog reader Heather made for Mazen! She makes all kinds of letters (well, all 26 of them : ) ) in her Etsy store, and Mazen’s M is perfectly matches his nursery décor. I love that she tied in his birthday and “bean,” which is one of our nicknames.

Foodblog-2509

This Bath and Body Works candle that my friend Seamane gave me! It smells like serious pumpkin waffles and makes my house delightfully sweet. {Hi new kitchen!!}

Foodblog-2513

These crispy + crunchy sheets Matt’s grandmother gave us. They are the crispiest sheets I’ve ever had! The secret, I now know, is percale cotton. The set is this one from Land’s End.

Foodblog-1872

This prehistoric friend. Matt and I have been into watching nature documentaries on Netflix. Oceans and dinosaurs are the best. BBC’s Walking With Dinosaurs was IN-credible!! They were so life-like I had to keep reminding myself that there was not a dinosaur outside of my window. And I may have shed a tear when the baby dino was eaten. It was so real it was like watching a Discovery Channel show on beavers or something.

Our holiday cards from Minted!! Check out Baby KERF for an entire post (and giveaway!)

Babyblog-2444 this !

My new phone case!! Another Etsy purchase – this time from Hello Nutcase. (I’m obsessed with all things Etsy.) This shop has so many amazing designs it was hard to choose, but I love the wooden look and colors!

Foodblog-2523

And finally, my very first art project from Mazen! My friend Gaby had him over for a play date a few weeks ago and he made me this ornament. I love it with my whole being!

I love the holiday cards and all your festive cheer at home with the candles and Mazen’s ornament! I also dislike bottled dressings lately and it’s crazy how easy they are to make.

So I am very bummed that during my Black Fri shopping I missed that candle when I restocked mine at B&BW because that flavor sounds UNREAL! I am obsessed with those ball jar magnets and also the M for Mazen. So adorable and I’ll be checking out those Etsy shops!

I’m definitely adding that show/series to my queue. However, crispy, crunchy sheets do not sound very appealing to me! 😉

Your Christmas card turned out so well! My roomies and I are thinking of getting a picture done along the lines of awkward family photos and sending it to friends teehee. Definitely won’t be as classy as yours…maybe one day 😉

Love your Christmas card! My husband and I have also been watching that dinosaur series. It passed the time when I was pregnant and now my son has a whole lotta dinosaur themed onesies and blankets (thanks to my Mr.)!

I really like your new phone case. And the Christmas card is wonderful!!!

I was wondering if you would ever do a post on your favourite etsy shops??? I have never seen this nutcase shop before, and it’s very neat. I also love etsy, and am always looking for new shops to peruse.

    Have a great day. 🙂

That’s a good idea! I don’t have many that I follow all the time, but I stumble across them when I’m hunting for something, but perhaps I could do a recap of my past favorites?

At first I thought the salad dressing was Cheesecake salad dressing. Then I took another look and thought it said Cheapskate. I do believe I’m exhausted from shopping all day. Love Mazen’s ornament! Something tells me there’ll be lots more in your future.

I am afraid that a candle that smells like pumpkin waffles would make me hungry in the house all the time. I am hungry right now just thinking about them.
