Warm Front

It’s WARM out today!! 22 degrees!! You would not believe the difference. I almost went out without my gloves!

Matt and I did indeed go to Kathy’s class this morning! Supastars!

We cranked up the engines to get there on time at 6AM.

Judy + Tom (the Kirkwood, Missouri owners!) came as well.

We were set up with equipment in the University of Montanan Western gym as part of their wellness program. Kathy works in legal at Great Harvest and a super fitness leader and marathoner! She led us through a variety of exercises in a specific sequence – intervals of cardio and strength for 50 minutes.

Wheee!

I WILL be sore tomorrow!

Matt had a great time too – working on his abs!

We drove home and quickly (VERY QUICKLY) showered and made our mile walk down to the HQ. We feasted when we arrived.

IMG_8052Blog

Oikos from our fridge topped with half a banana, Quaker Oatmeal Squares (they are still yours from my b-day Allie!) some Crunchy Buckwheat Granola (made at home) and a bit of trail mix

IMG_8053Blog

Served with a big mug of coffee.

Today we’re learning all about accounting, numbers, percentages, labor, Quickbooks and more. This is the stuff that is SO great to have guidance on. I am a huge numbers nerd and LOVE spreadsheets, so I am loving this day : )

Hope we can bring in the dough soon!

I’d heard a rumor that Great Harvest was returning to Kirkwood, MO (a suburb of St. Louis). The previous store there was the only one of the three in the StL metro area (at that time) with ingredient labels that did not say “corn syrup OR honey.” We avoided those breads, because we all know which option is cheaper. I imagine we’ll patronize this new Great Harvest some (my MIL lives in Kirkwood), but their bread, while delicious, is still quite pricey compared to making bread at home.
