The Sunday Chef

IMG_0475

Matt sometimes makes me breakfast during the week when he’s back from an early run and needs to get to the bakery on time.

pancakes

Thus, I always repay the favor on Sundays, his day to sleep till noon nine : )

IMG_0461

I try to make it something special – this morning it was Great Harvest banana pancakes with hot berries. Reginald’s Cashew-Nilla Butter on mine!

IMG_0471

Plus a sprinkle of coconut and some hot tea

IMG_0451

We have a busy Sunday ahead – 2 parties and 1 dinner with another Great Harvest owner. I’m going to have to plan my eating well if I want to keep an appetite going!

Gotta check out that cashew nilla butter! Cashews are so naturally sweet so they probably taste amazing with a bit of vanilla flavoring!

I think I could eat pancakes that look like those every. single. day.

p.s. I am way proud of you for being able to make the switch to tea. I think I would eat my feelings if I didn’t have some earthy-tasting dark roast every day, but girl you’re a champ. amen.

    Hey Kath,

have you or anyone else noticed that Whole Foods has been out of Chia Seeds in the bulk bins? I went to 2 Whole foods and they were both out until October πŸ™

I want to buy from chia seeds direct but the lowest amount you can buy is 4lbs…thats a lot if chia seeds for just me.

Do you know of anywhere else I can buy maybe 1 or 2 lbs? Also, if I were to buy 4lbs would it go bad?

    Thanks! Happy Sunday πŸ™‚

        I just checked again I don’t see 2lbs…

There is no where to click on the site to search for different sizes. Am I not seeing the link?

If you find it would you link it? Thank you so much!!

Bummer, I think you’re right. Which means unfortunately I won’t be re-ordering either – 4# is just too much. It would take me a year + to go through! I’m going to email them..

Here’s 2# that’s probably less than the bulk bins, although I’d have to check, and it’s not as cheap as the 4# bag. http://www.amazon.com/The-Food-World-Natural-Health/dp/B000WV0RW8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340630985&sr=8-1&keywords=chia+seeds

Anyone know what the price per pound is in bulk bins?
