Swissed

The next frontier for restaurant oatmeal = Swiss oats (a.k.a. overnight oats)

A group of us met in the lobby to go to breakfast at the Corner Bakery

IMG_0055

The lure: Swiss-style oatmeal!

Rolled oats soaked in vanilla yogurt and skim milk with cranberries, apple and banana

IMG_0062 (427x640)

Topped with some RAW carrot muffin I brought Emily

The oats came with this awesome biscotti that I crumbled on top as well. The textures were amazing!

IMG_0060 (640x427)

I also added a little of Sabrina‘s PB!

IMG_0066 (640x427)

Hot coffee

IMG_0065 (640x427)

It was so good – I couldn’t finish it all!

IMG_0061 (427x640)

Off to enjoy some HOT YOGA! 🙂 🙂

I’ve been wanting to go to Corner Bakery, but nobody would go with me during the few times I’m somewhere where a Corner Bakery is within reach. 🙁 Maybe someday.

Swiss oats, huh? Never knew about that…

I love the thought of calling the swiss oats. I usually make mine the same morning and soak while I get ready so they really aren’t overnight. I’ve been calling them unovernight oats but swiss oats has a better ring to it.

Yum! I don’t usually like Corner Bakery, but your breakfast looks good.

If you like hot yoga you might want to try Core Power Yoga (http://www.corepoweryoga.com/YogaforBeginners/FreeYoga.aspx). They have a deal on their website where you get a week of free classes for first timers, but since you are just visiting Chicago you will just get free classes! The classes are really fun!

Have a wonderful time in Chicago!
