Sum Sum Summatime

Yes it’s still spring, but it’s hot and humid out there! I keep reminding myself it’s only MAY. Translation: it’s about to get a whole lot hotter.

I opted for a cool breakfast of yogurt topped with berries, banana, peanut butter and granola.

For lunch today we met up with some friends for a picnic in the park. I got a smoothie from the gym before we headed over – peanut butter, banana, milk and ice.

And then we snacked on veggies and hummus, PB&J sandwich bites, pretzels and melon.

The kiddos played until they were red in the face and we came home to try our new Zoku popsicles. A few people asked me in my Instagram post how I liked them. I bought the mini mold (at Whole Foods) and think it’s the PERFECT size for a toddler! It didn’t have time to get super drippy. It was also the perfect size for an adult who just wanted a cold treat after lunch! I made these with some leftover smoothie (strawberry – banana – milk – greens) and filled up the whole tray with about a cup.

Chillin’ out in the basement now. Literally!

All that food looks so fresh & delicious! I’ve been having yogurt bowls for breakfast as well lately. Just wondering where you purchased that bowl at, if you don’t mind me asking?

Hot and steamy here in Harrisburg, Pa. Thunder rumbling in the background might cool it off some. Think I’ll go make hummus….

Those popsicle molds are too cute! I’m going to grab a few of these…I find the traditional ones too big for little ones!

Also, this: “it’s hot and humid out there!” Huh. It snowed for us in Winnipeg yesterday. I’m on my way to come and live with you, m’kay? 😀
