Sugar + Spice

From Grandma Buzz:

The Bears are going to live with their mom and dad in their new home very soon. I wanted to do something extra special for them before they left. I decided they have probably never had junk food.  I’m the grandma, so I seized the chance. They were so darling in the convenience store and each made a very careful decision.

Churton chose cheese curls.  He thought they were delicious!

IMG_0197[1] (640x480)

And he learned they could be put to educational use too.

IMG_0198[1] (480x640)

Bocker was worried about what his mom was going to say if she found out he was having candy.  He chose something with fruit in its name because that sounded nutritious. He was delighted when a visiting ballerina appeared on our porch. He came back into the kitchen and asked for a nice dish so he could serve her properly.

IMG_0199[1] (640x480)

Beaker selected cupcakes.  Or I should say luckily selected cupcakes. Turns out it was the ballerina’s birthday!  All joined in on a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday."

IMG_0206[1] (640x480)

Then, when the bears cut the cupcake open, they were enchanted.  Bocker said, "Grammie, there’s icing inside."

IMG_0207[1] (640x480)

They had no clue such wonders existed.  It’s a good thing the world has grandmothers!

Kath has explained the history of the bears before (in a previous post). However, I don’t see it linked in this post which would be helpful if someone is a new reader. I am not sure how a more careful reading would provide further background to either Samantha Angela or Andrea.

Um, these are three teddy bears. They stay with Kath’s mom and call her “Grandma”. I do believe this post was written by Kath’s mom, was it not? Correct me if I’m wrong, Kath 😉

WARNING! Grandmas do this with actual, real children. My three come back from time at Granny’s house in a state of EXTREME hyperactivity from all the treats (junk) they get there. That said, it sounds like KERF mom would be a wonderful grandma. If you have children one day you can organize a real-life teddy bears’ picnic with the gang. So cute.

Haha grandmothers are always the best! Some of my best memories have my nanny in them and the crazy food she let us eat!

Great story about the bears…I should show it to my niece. She likes visual things and things that are whimsical.

    I was entertained 🙂

I think Grandma Buzz needs to write some more children’s books to use her creative side when the bears come back home to live.

I still stand by my idea that you should create a children’s book (or several!) filled with the adventures of your bears.

Her name is Barbara Younger 🙂 Most of her books have been Sunday School related, but you will probably find a few others in the mix 🙂
