Sophomore Year Ends

Today feels like of like the last day of the school year in college. Saying goodbye to friends for the summer. “See you next year!”

[Of course I will be back next year!!]

I met so many new friends too! And so many fellow bloggers and KERF readers for the first time in person. Such fun.

This morning Emily and I hung out in our beds because it was raining and all plans for runs and walks were canceled. There will be prettier days to run!

We snacked on some Frog Hollow Farm dried peaches while we waited for the brunch to begin. LOVE those things. Chewy, fuzzy, delicious.

The brunch was presented by Nature’s Pride, and the breads were used in such creative ways. French toast, panzanella, croutons.

IMG_9927

I piled up with fresh fruit, arugula salad with glazed almonds and oaty bread croutons, a mini frittata, and two slices of French toast topped with a dollop of whipped strawberry basil butter and villa mandori maple syrup – wonderful!!!!

IMG_9934

Plus a little Straus yogurt with granola that I slurped down

I went back for seconds on fruit fruit and a huge pile of greens. Greens never tasted so good!

IMG_9935

Wish the sky looked like this for some quality exploring, but sadly, it’s gray and raining.

IMG_9489

And Matt is on his way here!!! Unfortunately his flight is delayed (boooo) but I can’t wait to see him. The trip continues onward to Sonoma this afternoon!

I’m right near SF and was set to go running today too but stayed in bed because of the rain! :/
    What a great looking breakfast!

I took a rainy trip to the Mountain View farmers’ market instead of attending the brunch this morning, so it’s fun to see all the good eats on your blog! Gotta love that Strauss yogurt. Did you know that at Trader Joe’s here in the Bay Area, their house brand “European style” yogurt is actually Strauss? One of their many not-so-well-kept secrets =)

Enjoy wine country, Kath! I’m glad you had such a great time in SF.

The rain is supposed to end today, so you should have great weather to end your trip! I live in SF and ran the US Half-Marathon today in the BELTING rain, across the bridge. Man, if I hadn’t been planning on doing this race for MONTHS, I would have loved to have been in bed too! 🙂
