So Dreamy

Foodblog-3060

A bonus to not sleeping well = more dreams! I’d say 90% of the dreams I have I enjoy, and there were some fun (and weird!) ones last night! I woke up yesterday saying that my rib muscles and hips were feeling nearly symptom free and things changed for the worse by bedtime. Puzzled. I think the ribs have to do with the baby’s position (because he was clearly under them at bedtime) and the hips – no idea. Sleeping position I guess.

What else is so dreamy? Biscoff. And the crunchy is out of this world! I must locate another jar.

Foodblog-3068

Overnight oats today were composed of:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 5 chunks of frozen banana (because we’re out of fresh)
  • A sprinkle of the last of our blueberries
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Foodblog-3065

Foodblog-3070

Sips.

Foodblog-3058

Sweet dreams tonight!

My roommate has just gone down to the States to visit some family while she’s on vacation, and I’m totally just about to text her and ask her to track down some Biscoff for me because I’ve yet to locate it here in Canada! 🙂 Looks like some very tasty oats. Have a great day Kath! 🙂

Isn’t the crunchy flavor the best? I had to ban it from my house while I’m on a training diet… but I’m drooling over your oats in that jar. I wonder if it’s ok with my coach is I eat an entire jar on cheat day… LOL!

Most definitely NOT a model ingredient list, but not fake either:

Biscoff 57% (wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oil, soy flour, brown sugar, leavening (sodium bicarbonate), salt, cinnamon), canola oil, sugar, emulsifier (soy lecithin), citric acid.

Sleeping those last couple months are the worst! I feel for you!
When I was pregnant with my fourth, I ended up at the physical therapist for some muscle pain. She showed me how to prop myself up at a 45* angle while sleeping. Basically, have your husband stuff as many pillows as it takes behind you (all along your back, rear, legs, head) and in front (under hip, belly, legs), until your comfortably facing a 45* angle. Of course, stuff a pillow between your knees and arms. It takes a lot of pillows, but made a HUGE difference for me. Hope it helps!

Hi Kath, I have a general question about Ball jars. I have been thinking of getting these jars to store all dry items in the kitchen like beans, oats and other grains. I read online that the lids of these containers have BPA.

Since I have seen these jars in your kitchen often, I was wondering if you are aware of this issues and if you have any workaround for the lids.

    Thanks !!

Hmm I haven’t heard that they have BPA. They are metal, but there might actually be a plastic liner on the inside. I’m not sure. Since the food doesn’t touch it very often, I haven’t been concerned

I believe you can buy plastic lids for the Ball containers. I use mine to store dry goods too but the food does not touch the lid.

We’re obsessed with Biscoff crunchy in our house. Walmart sells the creamy and the crunchy Biscoff for $3.78 per jar which is the lowest price I’ve seen. You can also get it on Amazon but it’s more expensive. I’ve been buying jars for my friends and once they try it, they too are hooked!

I can’t keep biscoff spread in my house, I have no control! It starts off innocently, which a little in my oatmeal or spread on pancakes, but then one day I eat it straight from the jar with a spoon and it “disappears.” I know my limits, biscoff (and nutella) cannot be in my house.
