Here’s a recap of our girls trip to Round Hill Jamaica! We stayed in a villa and loved the resort, pool, restaurants, and more.

We are home from our girls trip to Jamaica and had a wonderful time! My sister turned 40 in October, and this trip was a belated celebration for her. We think this is the first time the three of us have gone on a real vacation together – just the three of us – and we are hoping to make it an annual tradition moving forward.

As you may already know, my sister, Laura, is a travel advisor with Fora and her travel career has taken off! She travels so much these days I can’t keep track of her, but of course that made planning this trip so easy for us – she handled everything. Round Hill Resort in Jamaica was on her bucket list due to so many of her travel colleagues raving about it, and easy flights made it our pick for the trip. We LOVED the resort and I would love to go back!

Round Hill Resort
Our day travel day started early on Wednesday. Mom and I each flew from our home airports to meet Larbs in Charlotte, and we took a direct flight from there. The travel day went well, and I can officially say that I am obsessed with my Away luggage! The backpack on the handle was one of those things that I really didn’t know I needed until I realized how life changing it is not to have a backpack on your back!

We took the airport transfer to Round Hill for about $50, and that was well worth it. Thirty minutes later, we arrived!

Rum Punch at noon? Don’t mind if I do!

Our Villa Tour

A great thing about Round Hill is they have both traditional hotel rooms and villas. We decided to book a two-bedroom villa where mom and I would share a room. But upon check-in, we were upgraded to a gorgeous 5-bedroom villa with its own pool! We only used three of the rooms, of course, but we had so much room to spread out in the common areas.

I have never stayed anywhere so nice! We felt like the ladies of White Lotus exploring our rooms and unpacking.

The Bedrooms

The Bathrooms

While the bedrooms had plenty of air conditioning, the bathrooms were open air. This was a lovely feature, especially taking a shower outdoors! But I did get quite sweaty getting ready each evening.

Happy Birthday Larbs!

LOVED the basket of abandoned sunscreens, especially since I carried on my luggage and couldn’t bring anything full size.

The Villa Yard
This would make a great spot for kids to run! Note the pretty hidden swing.

This secret door led us to a hidden pathway and out to the back road as our “back door.”

The grounds were lush and manicured.

We had a short, downhill walk to the main resort and beach. It was uphill on the return, and we used it for exercise. But if you want a golf cart to drive you up, you can do that too.

The Main Resort
The main resort had one restaurant that switched menu themes each night, a library, a common room, a kids club, and the resort room building.

The Beach + Pool
There were always chairs available, and plenty of shade. I loved sitting under the trees for even more shade than umbrellas. The water was calm in the cove, perfectly clear, and great for swimming!

The infinity pool was also gorgeous. And WARM! So often I’ve found Caribbean pools to be freezing, and this one was absolutely perfect in temperature.

The Round Hill Kids Club
The kids club is included and so cute! Babies under 3 can also hire a nanny by the hour.

Adults Only Beach, Spa, and Fitness
Along a path by the water, you could walk to the adults only beach, spa, and fitness center. We did this walk several times for exercise, and Laura did a massage at the spa.
