Post Christmas Reds

Foodblog (1 of 2)

Because I have anything but the post-Christmas blues! I’ve actually had a blast these past few days taking down our decorations and detoxifying my body with a few good workouts and healthy food. The best formula! See above breakfast for example 🙂

I’ve been living at the Juice Laundry this month. For five years I’ve been waiting for a juice and smoothie place as hip and cool! I want to do an on-site video soon : )

I finally tried their overnight oats, which you can customize with any toppings you like. I went with banana, chia and raw granola. The overnight oats are made with cashew milk and without yogurt (I believe they are vegan and officially gluten-free). I loved the sweetness the cashew milk brought – and great texture!

This is a lunch photo I never shared from before the holiday – salad with leftover panko tofu and green curry veggies!

Foodblog (1 of 1) this !

And here’s yesterday’s lunch – an Asian crunch kale salad that I have in the recipe queue topped with manchego and smoked salmon!

Foodblog (2 of 2)

Hope you have a great 2015 finale!!

I could use you to take down my Christmas decorations…haha! While I’ve enjoyed them while they were up, I’m over them being up but I’ve been feeling too lazy to take them down myself. Gah…haha

How does the salad taste with Asian flavor and smoked salmon and the cheeses? I have never had this.

Christmas reds, so clever!!!!!!!!!! I thought you meant red wine when i see title.

Could you tell me more about the science behind a detox diet? I understand that for most healthy people, the kidneys and liver do the job of removing toxins from our bodies. Thanks!

Customizable overnight oats sounds amazing! So jealous of this place, wish we had something like that around here!

Smoked salmon, greens and eggs especially scrambled. I’m living off those foods alone the past three days, total turkey overdose! Craving fish like nothing else!

I so wish we had a juice & smoothie place near where we live! It would be so nice! Maybe eventually one will come 🙂

I love putting smoked salmon on my salads. I’ve never paired it with asian flavors though. Looking forward to the recipe.

I am finally feeling back to normal after eating too many treats last week! Haha

Curious about the first picture of the sunny side up eggs with grapefruit. I am in the camp of sunny side eggs, I love a runny yolk (miss them now that I’m expecting!), but I never make them without toast to soak up the yolks once they break. Do you really just eat them alone and enjoy them? Do you use a spoon? Haha weird question but I’m curious!!

Haha good question. I try to soak it up with the white and fork, but sometimes I do have to lick the plate at the end 🙂
