Personal Chef In A Box

Foodblog-2529

Some days I wake up ready to tackle the kitchen – oatmeal, pancakes, french toast.

Foodblog-2525

Other days I just wish breakfast were already made. Thus, cereal sounded good today!

Foodblog-2528

And I opened a new one for extra excitement – Barbara’s Shredded Squares. Combined with blackberries, banana, chia seeds, coconut and milk.

Foodblog-2520

Blob your sunflower butter off the spoon to find later in the bowl –

Foodblog-2530

And then take the best first bite ever with the rest!

Foodblog-2531

I found a new perfect blend for coffee concentrate – this makes it no longer a concentrate though!

Old: 4.5 cups water, 1 cup grounds = needed to dilute with water by 1/3 before drinking (sometimes)

NEW: 6 cups water, 1 cup grounds = perfectly mixed already

Foodblog-2527

Have a great day!

How long does the concentrate have to sit/soak? And at what point does it not get any stronger? As in, it’s soaked up all the flavor…

Oh, I’ll have to try this new coffee to water ratio! I’ve found that I like cold brewed coffee warmed up better than coffee made with hot water…not sure why! The light on your porch this morning is gorgeous!

I’m the same way with breakfast – some days I feel like making something, but other days I just want to pour a few ingredients into a bowl. My go-to on days like that is yogurt with strawberry and banana slices.

We live on coffee concentrate over here!

First-time commenter, long-time reader: I was having a squiz through your pictures of your humble abode and I just have to say straight up, you are incredible. Your place is beautifully presented and has such charm, subtle elegance and ambiance, gosh I wanted to dive straight in and lounge around your living room! Besides that, your breakfasts also look divine even if they are just cereal.

We had almost the same exact breakfast! Wheat Chex, banana, blackberries, sunflower seed butter, coconut butter, cinnamon, and milk. Only I had hot coffee. 😉 Kaci and I will need to try this concentrate, though! She loves iced coffee, and I love it too but sometimes don’t feel like waiting for it to chill. Have a wonderful day, Kath!!

I felt the exact same way this morning when I woke up lol but then I decided to try out a new breakfast porridge using quinoa and oat bran. It was good! Topped with sunflower butter…YUM!

Have you ever tried using different grains besides oats for your breakfast porridge?
