New Finds + Multiple Giveaways!

Fun things to share today – including TWO giveaways!!

First off, this candle was a birthday gift from a girlfriend – smells SO good!! Like everything pumpkin pie and not toooooo sweet. FYI, it’s from Anthro!

Foodblog-3478

Do you remember me writing about Bama + Ry when Jasmine sent me a cute Mazen necklace? Jasmine is at it again and has started making higher end design jewelry. The new line aims to put something truly beautiful into the world to reflect every woman’s bold, brave beauty. Jasmine sent me these two gorgeous pieces and gave me a coupon code for all of you: use KATHEATS for 20% off anything in the store!

Foodblog-3504

I remember when there was a time when I thought gold was for grandmothers, and now my taste is “all gold all the time!!” I just love these two pieces, and wear them all the time. Both are in the Maya Collection and were named for poems by Maya Angelou.

My goal this holiday season was to have all the Christmas “chores” done before the season even started. First on the list: holiday cards. Pear Tree offered to do our Christmas cards this year in exchange for a shout out on KERF. I’m so glad because they turned out so cute!

Foodblog-3515

I am a big fan of photo collages for holiday cards because they show more than one special moment! Thus, I pulled some of our favorite photos from 2014. Yes, the famous dinosaur photo made it in! Along with 9 happy and cute Mazen favorites.

Foodblog-3518

I was able to customize the card colors, and the back is super cute too!

Foodblog-3520

Now I just have to start addressing them…

Foodblog-3521

These Chooka rain boots! I found them at DSW and they are so comfortable. The rubber is really soft, so they bend easily and are easy to walk in. I also love that they don’t come up to my knees, so they are not so hot in warm weather and fit well over my calves. Bring on the rain!

Foodblog-3514

Gourmesso is a company who makes all kinds of capsules compatible with Nespresso machines. Their prices are advertised as 30% less than the original Nespresso capsules. Currently, Gourmesso offers 20 different espresso varieties made with coffee beans from around the world including 10 different espresso blends, three lungo (long-pour) blends, six flavored blends, and one decaf option.  Gourmesso asked if I’d like to review some, but I don’t have a Nespresso machine, so I asked if I could give some away to you guys! They offered to giveaway Nespresso Inissia machine and 10 boxes of our coffee (which equals 100 capsules)!!!

One lucky winner….and go!!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

This was the easiest fun table centerpiece: a big blue jug that my mom gave to me, some willow branches I found at the farmer’s market and red berries from a bush in our yard. I am loving the wild look!

Foodblog-3479

Are you ready for more!? I met my friend Jamie through preschool, and she happens to own a really cool business called Ring My Neck. Jamie writes:

I started Ring My Neck when my pregnant friends began swelling out of their wedding rings.  I couldn’t fathom not being able to wear my ring, especially when I was expecting.  When I came up with the first designs, I had no idea that doctors, nurses, athletes, hair stylists and so many other professions didn’t allow women to wear their rings.  They found my company, and as they say, the rest is history.  I now have a full line of necklaces for men and women who can’t wear their rings and a line of charms that snap into them when they can have their ring on their finger!

Foodblog-3123

a Rafflecopter giveaway

These are the Hero (left), shown with personalized nameplate charms and the Lovebird (right).

Foodblog-3128

Check out all the options on Etsy and Ring My Neck.

Foodblog-3129

And last but not least…..did you know Talenti makes holiday flavors!?

Foodblog-2268

These arrived for me to sample, and all I can say is YUM!!  The pumpkin pie is awesome – very spiced with real pie crust pieces – and the eggnog is like the real deal in ice cream form! Also in the limited edition group: peppermint bark! Caramel apple pie and fudge brownie are year round festive flavors. These would all be delicious served with some Thanksgiving pie, dontchathink?

The Nespresso would be such a great addition to my kitchen! Our Thanksgiving plans are the same as always. We make a ridiculous amount of food & have an open door policy, welcoming anyone who needs a place to hang out on turkey day. You never know who might show up & if we don’t have a lot of guests we at least have plenty of leftovers. Though with 5 sons, leftovers never last long!
