Why I Still Love Oliveda: My Oliveda Favorites + Skincare Routine

Why I love Oliveda skincare after two years, plus my Oliveda favorites, simple skincare routine, what to buy first, and the best ways to save.

Between blogging, beauty samples, new launches, and my general curiosity about what’s out there, there is almost always something new sitting in my bathroom or travel bag waiting to be tested. But after more than two years of using Oliveda, it’s still the skincare line at the top of my list.

Here’s why it has stayed at the top of my list, the products I genuinely love the most, and what I would buy first if you’re brand new to the line.

Why Oliveda Is Still My Favorite Skincare Brand

When I first wrote my Oliveda skincare review, I was coming off of years of using Beautycounter and looking for something that I might love just as much. I was skeptical at first when everyone rushed to this brand, but there was a good reason: it has a lot of distinguishing factors that set it apart from the mainstream.

As someone who loves spas and facials, the fact that it felt like something I’d see in a spa was my number one hook. (It actually IS used in spas all over Europe!)

They are also on the verge of some really exciting technology that uses an app to connect beauty devices to the frequencies of olive trees! Launching soon: a microcurrent mask, an app with a biometric skin scanner that can recommend products based on your skin’s composition and your environment, a LED mask, and a smart ring! The app will be able to tell you details about your skin that you can’t see, and recommend the best types of products for your concerns. Pretty cool!

You can actually get the microcurrent mask and 4 serum sheets FREE today and tomorrow with any $199 purchase!

Here are five big reasons Oliveda has stuck around.

1. Hydroxytyrosol Is An Ingredient I Want In My Skincare

The ingredient at the center of Oliveda is hydroxytyrosol, or HT, a polyphenol found in olives and olive leaves. Hydroxytyrosol is an antioxidant, which means it helps neutralize free radicals and protect against oxidative stress. In skincare, antioxidants are useful because oxidative stress from things like UV exposure and environmental pollution contributes to visible skin aging.

Oliveda harvests its hydroxytyrosol from organically certified mountain olive trees in Spain and uses an olive leaf cell elixir containing hydroxytyrosol as the base of its skincare. You can read much more about the ingredients in my original Oliveda skincare review.

Do I think hydroxytyrosol is a magic potion that means I will never get another wrinkle? Of course not. But as a woman in my early-to-mid 40s (haha) with dry skin who wants to support hydration and healthy-looking skin as I age, I really like having an antioxidant-rich botanical ingredient layered throughout my routine. Check out some of the before and afters on their Instagram page – the results are pretty incredible, especially for those struggling with their skin prior to switching.

2. I Love The Waterless Concept

I wrote a whole post about waterless skincare because I think this is one of the most interesting things about Oliveda. Traditional skincare products often have water as the first ingredient. There is nothing inherently wrong with water in skincare! But Oliveda takes a different approach.

Instead of using water as the primary base of its emulsions, Oliveda uses its olive leaf cell elixir. The company says traditional skincare can contain around 70% water, while its products replace that typical water phase with its bioactive olive leaf base.

In other words: instead of paying for a jar that is mostly water, you’re getting a more concentrated formula filled with botanical ingredients. I also notice this in how long the products last. You generally do not need much. A few drops of serum or a small amount of cream goes a LONG way.

3. The Products Smell and Feel Good

Ingredients matter. Mission matters. But it has to feel and smell good for me to care at all to use it! The whole line has a very botanical, European-spa feel. The oils are silky rather than greasy. The creams feel rich without sitting heavily on my skin. And I LOVE the natural scents. I will say that the dropper bottles are not my very favorite, but I’ve gotten used to them. Overall, I love the packaging.

A few of my forever favorites:

F78 Arbequina Cleansing Oil

The F78 Arbequina Cleansing Oil is still my favorite way to take off makeup at night. It feels luxurious, gets everything off, and doesn’t leave my dry skin feeling stripped. It has the best smell.

Corrective Facial Tonic

If you’re someone who thinks toner feels like an unnecessary skincare step, this one might change your mind. I love the spray tonic. It is such an easy step between cleansing and serums, and I love the fresh, hydrated feeling it gives my skin.

Jasmine + Neroli Face Oils

The F27 Jasmine Face Oil is one of my longtime favorites, and I also love the F25 Neroli Face Oil. I use face oil as the last step in my evening routine to seal everything in. And also in the sauna with my gua sha.

F74 Regeneration Intense Face Cream

If I had to choose one Oliveda moisturizer for dry, aging skin, it would be the F74 Regeneration Intense Face Cream. It’s rich, creamy, and incredibly comforting at night. I warm a small amount between my fingers before blending it into my skin.

The Body Products

The face products get most of the attention, but don’t sleep on the Oliveda body line! The body products are also a nice lower-commitment way to try the brand if you’re not ready to overhaul your skincare routine.

The B15 Anti Aging Body Cream is my favorite lotion, and the B21 Moroccan Mint Shower Gel is SUCH a good shower product. I like to gift it too!

Olive Rose HT Skin Tint Is My Favorite Tinted Moisturizer

I have used quite a few tinted moisturizers over the years (see my Best Tinted Moisturizers comparison), and the current Olive Rose HT Skin Tint Serum is my favorite. The texture is what sets it apart. It gives my skin that smooth, slightly blurred finish without looking like I’m wearing a full face of foundation. (If you tried the 2025 version in the dropper bottle, the 2026 with the pump is MUCH better!!) You can see more of the makeup line in my Oliveda Makeup Review.

4. I Like To Support Companies With Missions

This isn’t the main reason I buy skincare – the products themselves have to look and feel good – but I appreciate that there is a bigger environmental mission behind Olive Tree People.

The company acquires land containing wild mountain olive trees in Spain and works to protect, cultivate, and organically certify them. Olive Tree People says it currently protects nearly 31,000 wild and centuries-old mountain olive trees.

Since 2013, its OLIVEDA for Africa project has built water wells in Africa. The company says it builds one well for every 100 hectares of mountain olive tree land it acquires and that approximately 15,000 people are now supplied with water through these projects. It’s cool that the “waterless” part of the brand isn’t just a marketing phrase attached to a bottle. (I love that Counter also is a mission-based company.)

5. I get a discount

There is also a very practical reason Oliveda continues to make sense for me: as a consultant, I get 25% off my personal purchases, plus I occasionally earn or receive free products. If you have a skincare company you love, what a perk to get a discount too.

You can easily become a consultant for the discount. You absolutely do not have to turn it into a business or start selling skincare to everyone you know. If you love the products and are going to be placing regular orders, it’s worth doing the math to see if the consultant route makes sense for you.

New To Oliveda? Start Here

One of the biggest complaints I hear about Oliveda is also completely valid: there are so many products! If you’re new to the brand, I would start with a few products you will use every day and build from there.

You can also read my full guide to the best Oliveda products for dry, sensitive, and aging skin.

A Simple Oliveda Starter Routine

If I were building a routine from scratch, I’d start here:

1. Cleanser: F78 Arbequina Cleansing Oil. Especially good if you wear makeup or have dry skin. This is one of my most-used Oliveda products. If you prefer a gel cleanser, I also love the F38 Purifying Cleansing Gel.

2. Toner: F67 Corrective Facial Tonic. Easy hydration after cleansing. I love that I can spray it on and keep moving.

3. Serum: F59 Corrective Face Serum. If I were choosing ONE Oliveda serum for my skin, this would be it. If dark spots and brightness are a bigger priority, I also like the F83 HT + Vitamin C Serum.

4. Moisturizer: F74 Regeneration Intense Face Cream. My pick for dry/mature skin and nighttime. It’s rich, but you only need a small amount.

If you only want to buy THREE things, I would do cleanser + F59 + moisturizer. You can always add the tonic, eye cream, oil, masks, and other fun things later.

The Best Ways To Save On Oliveda

Oliveda is not inexpensive skincare, so I always recommend looking at the price per USE rather than just the price on the bottle. The products are concentrated and I find that I need very little at a time. But there are also several ways to bring down the cost.

Create Your Own Set

This is probably my favorite option if you’re ready to commit to a routine.

With Oliveda’s Create Your Own Set, you choose at least five products and receive 15% off the set. Rather than buying a pre-made bundle with one product you don’t really need, you can choose five things you actually want.

If I were making my own five-product bundle, I’d pick:

  • F78 Arbequina Cleansing Oil
  • F67 Corrective Facial Tonic
  • F59 Corrective Face Serum
  • F74 Regeneration Intense Face Cream
  • F27 Jasmine Face Oil

Join The Perks Program

If you’re planning to become a regular Oliveda shopper but don’t want to become a consultant, Treehouse Membership is worth a look.

It’s $20 a year, and members currently receive:

  • 15% back in product credit on regular orders
  • 20% back in product credit on Subscribe & Save orders
  • Free gifts on your second, third, and fourth Subscribe & Save orders
  • A birthday reward worth $60 in product credit
  • Free express shipping on orders over $250
  • Early access to new launches and member events
  • Four 15% savings codes per year to share with friends and family

I think this makes the most sense for someone who already knows she likes the products and plans to reorder throughout the year. If you’re going to spend the money anyway, you might as well get some of it back toward your next order!

Or Become A Consultant For The Discount

Oliveda consultants receive 25% off personal purchases, and there are sometimes additional enrollment offers and opportunities for free products. You absolutely do not have to turn this into a business. If you know you’re going to use Oliveda regularly, compare the consultant option with Treehouse and see which makes more sense for how much you buy.

Watch For Sales + New Customer Offers + Freebies

Right now you can get a FREE microcurrent mask with any $199+ purchase!

What’s Included in the Free Mask Set?

One rechargeable Smart Pulse Controller ($69.95 value) and four serum-infused sheet masks ($14.50 each). I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited to learn more!

The mask uses a conductive pattern to carry gentle electrical pulses from a small rechargeable controller while the serum hydrates your skin. The system is also connects to the new Oliveda app with different treatment modes. And in true Olive Tree People fashion, there’s even a feature involving signals from living olive trees. I’m still learning how that works!

If you’re overwhelmed by where to start, my advice is simple: don’t buy everything! Start with a cleanser, serum, and moisturizer. Give them time to become part of your routine, and add the fun extras later.

Because apparently even I don’t need 17 open serums on my bathroom counter at once. Ahem. 🙂
