Memories On Canvas

This post is sponsored by Gallery Direct

We are off making new memories this morning, so I have a fun giveaway to share with you inspired by our last trip! Gallery Direct contacted me about showcasing a family portrait printed on one of their canvas gallery wraps the day after we took these sweet photos on the California beach. So many of you said it should be framed, so the timing on this was perfect!

Foodblog (4 of 6)

Gallery Direct is an Austin, TX-based company that offers both fine art and custom printed canvases. Unlike some sites that can take 4-6 weeks to process, Gallery Direct aims to ship your print within 48 hours – some of the fastest turnaround in the business. My print came really fast! You have your choice of canvas, paper, birchwood, aluminum, and acrylic for prints in a variety of sizes. Check here to learn more about the process. It’s quite simple – upload, customize and go!

Foodblog (6 of 6)

Would you believe that I took this photo on my cell phone? While photos should be high resolution, you don’t need a professional camera to create a print. I made this collage in PicMonkey!

Foodblog (5 of 6)

My print is a 12×16, and it fit perfectly into our family room photo gallery wall. I want to make one of Mazen with Matt in the future and put it on the other side to balance out the colors.

Foodblog (1 of 6)

Gallery Direct has a treat for one of you – a $200 gift card, which should be enough for two prints of your choice. Leave a comment sharing your favorite vacation memory and enter in the Rafflecopter below.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

In the meantime, Gallery Direct is having a huge 75% off sale TODAY on all of their upload canvas prints! So if you’ve been meaning to get a favorite photo made into a piece of art for your home, now is the time to do so.

Thanks to Gallery Direct for the canvas and sponsoring this post.

We were visiting Cape Cod and it had rained every day but the last day of our 11 day trip. It was very early and we stopped at the ocean to say goodbye. The sun was out and the air was clean and clear. The tide was out so we let the kids splash around a bit in the water. My son started to get very excited and when we went to him we found baby starfish, so many baby starfish. It was so beautiful and a wonderful way to end our trip.

My favorite trip so far is a family trip we took to Las Vegas when I was 16. Everything went wrong! While it was horrible then, we look back at it now and laugh…a lot. The scariest/funniest part was when my mom and dad were arguing about something causing my dad not to pay much attention to what he was doing. Driving down the Strip our luggage went flying out the back of our van and rolling down the Strip!

I don’t think I can narrow down THE best vacation memory, but about 2 weeks ago my husband’s family came to visit us in CO (our nephews’ first time!). Watching the boys walk down a hiking trail while holding my almost 2-year-old’s hand was just awesome. She was in absolute heaven having her cousins around to play with, and I loved seeing all of them enjoying the outdoors together.

I love readying about everyone’s favorite vacation memories! I have so many favorite vacation memories, it is hard to pick just one…hiking in Austria, climbing a volcanos in Italy, the sulfur smell and stream pits in Rotorua, New Zealand, the friendliest people ever in Fiji, and the beauty of Hawaii. I love to use photographs from my travels as wall art. It is so pretty and personal!

I just love your blog Kathy, such a fan and thanks for this giveaway:) This would make the perfect gift for my mom since I’ve been wanting to give her something for her and my step dad’s anniversary. Our favorite family vacation memory is one that I’ll never forget. Just me and her used to go to the beach when my parents split up when I was a teenager. She and I would rent a small condo and share so many long talks; it helped heal us both.

Thanks for the giveaway and keep up with the great food posts, they’re my favorite!:)

Best vacation memory…. too hard to choose! I’ll have to go with one pre-marriage and one post-marriage (just got hitched in May, so my family vacays are still too recent to not be on my heart as all time faves!)

-Family ski trip over Christmas 2012. Mom, Dad, brother and sister. Slopes for 4 days, resting in our quiet, pristine small town condo for the others. Walking the snow covered streets, finding good eats, staying warm and getting great runs at 3 different ski resorts. A trip I will never forget!

-Christmas in Europe with my husband’s (then-fiance) family. We spent 2.5 weeks in Sudtirol (a province in northern Italy) where his family lives. Christmas markets, celebrating their family traditions, hiking, sledding, sightseeing and being cooked some of the best darn homemade food I have ever had the privilege of tasting.
