Meals + Miles

Today was what Sundays are all about: relax, recharge, reflect, and eat leftovers!

Those of us who remained after the oatmeal brunch ended sat around and gabbed about life and blogs and food and how fun the day before was

 this !

Around 1:30, lunch was mentioned, and we broke out the party leftovers like the day after Thanksgiving.

IMG_8253

Plus a pile of fresh chopped veg

IMG_8252

I made an awesome bowl of mish

IMG_8255

Heavy on the mosh!

Arugula, spinach, veggies, crackers, pita chips, hummus, cheese, root veggies, kale salad and lamb salami.

After lunch, Matt and I drove Meghann back to Richmond. It was a gorgeous fall day for a drive, and the miles went by quickly with chatter of Harry Potter and Disney World. I hope to visit Meghann in February! It was sad saying goodbye. I am so thankful to have had friends to travel to celebrate with me!

Once home I had a few pita chips..

And sped cleaned the whole house. Vacuumed. Took off sheets. Got laundry started. Spot cleaned floors + walls (walls!?). It’s feeling Real Simple again!

IMG_8265

Dinner tonight was a heat-n-eat dish of more leftovers. Our party crockpot soup (which was SO GOOD made with the addition of 3 sweet potatoes!) topped with greek yogurt and goat cheese for some protein and some toasted croutons for crunch. Yum!

Just popped a square of dark chocolate and am calling it a night. I am so tired!! Would it be bad for me to go to bed at 8PM? Ohhhhhh – how about a bubble bath first!!! Maybe I’ll clean the tub at the same time…. Winking smile

It’s never bad to go to bed at 8pm… that’s like my standard time. Me = granny.

      I’m 22 and me=granny.
Who knew I’d grew up and fall completely head over heels in love with sleeptime?!
      Huh.

I love going to bed early, but 8pm is toooo early for me. I try to make it to 9 at least 🙂

Long car rides don’t bother me much, unless I am driving alone. But if I have Jason or a friend/family member with it just flies by!

    The cookies are gone. Whoops!

I love soups during the fall; they only get better and better as the days pass!

I was definitely contemplating going to bed right about now, too. I think I shall but I’ll take a book and cup of tea with me.
