Learn To Spit

‘Nother morning. ‘Nother wine-over. ‘Nother run.

IMG_0257

We slept until we woke up and then laced up to head out. Luckily we have sunlight and great weather for running. We found a pathway along a creek that was perfect for running.

Until we witnessed a drug deal happening under a bridge. I ran mile 2 in 7:45 out of flight + fright! We got back off the greenway (I took the fact that there were no other runners as a sign we might want to run elsewhere) and took to the streets. California is so beautiful! I love the design of the neighborhoods and streets. So different from the colonial East Coast way to city planning.

We ended up getting LOST. Sense of direction must still be on the East Coast. A simple jog turned into a 6 mile run, but we finally figured out where we made a wrong turn and were glad to get in a more hard-core workout anyways.

IMG_0414 IMG_0407

More good coffee. More plain yogurt + fruit!

IMG_0413

I filled up on strabs, melon, a Frog Hollow fermented pear, cheerios, granola, a blob of yogurt and a dollop of Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter.

IMG_0409

IMG_0411

My body does not feel very well today 🙁

I find it morally wrong to spit out wine, but today I just might have to learn how to spit…

Wow! Your breakfast looks like dessert to me! It’s sad that you ran so much faster because of the drug deal, but at least you know your “fight or flight” reflex is fully operational! Cali may have places much more beautiful than Nebraska, but at least we don’t have to worry about that! When I run at the Y the biggest problems I have are the chatty ladies getting out of group exercise when I’m trying to focus. : )
