Here’s a bit of life lately!

March Vibes
Snow….and 80s in the same 10 day forecast. That summarizes the ups and downs of this time of year.
We went from happy vibes at the dentist office…

To the dreaded stomach bug. Poor Birch was in an awful state, but thank GOODNESS I didn’t get it this time. I used every precaution I could (mask, washed hands a million times, quarantined the patient mostly to one bathroom and his room). He did enjoy unlimited iPad and popsicle time!

Mazen inherited this suit from a friend of mine who outgrew it – how dapper does he look!?

I took him to see West Side Story at the high school and he was agreeable to go. But once there he was not the biggest fan of this show. I will keep trying!

On our warmer days we’ve gone to the skate park. So interesting to have snow in the bowls when it’s 60 degrees outside!

I’ve visited Gussie with treats sent from Blue Buffalo! He’s doing well <3

Kiddo taco night at Torchy’s!

Adult Fun
In adult fun, we had four February birthdays! Juan Pablo’s was celebrated at Bang with a princess cake!

Destiny had her botanical party and a special workout shout out.

I went back to Noble for more of that amazing provolone! A cheese-lover’s dream. If you go, get The Liberator. Best cocktail in town!

Jonathon was missing the cruise life and had me over for dinner with the kids to enjoy a fancy cod dish he concocted. Plus a beautiful pineapple dessert!

Home News
In home news, I got Mazen a duvet cover in the same brand as Birch’s but a complimentary color. OBSESSED with these duvets for their soft texture and zip closure. Plus they aren’t that expensive!

I also watched the show Fleabag and loved it!! So clever and quirky.
Food Lately
I tried the Recess mocktails when they went on sale at Amazon, and they are very good! The Island Spritz is my favorite.

Also: I made two of the freezer meals in Fit Food Find’s post here, and I love how easy they were! Just thaw and then heat on the stovetop or crockpot when you’re ready to cook.

I also ordered some of the Blue Apron Dish meals on a busy week using my own code KATHEATS for 50% off. I got all of these plus a smoothie and egg bites for $27. They are fresh – not frozen – and you only have to heat them up. Not a bad price for a week of dinners!

Lately: Meals
Let the breakfasts shine!

Lunches
Salads, tuna bowls, or chicken burritos have been my go-to this season. The salmon is Fishwife mixed with Fly By Jing!

Dinners
Survivor dinner at Ellen’s! We love to do coconut rice for the occasion. Plus roasted brussels and Fly By Jing salmon!

I’ve been loving True Nature meats and salmon filets from the freezer to build meals. When I’m with the kids, I need dinner on the table fast!

Finally, lemon shrimp pasta with a gifted bottle of rose!
