Just Below Freezing In The Sunshine

The snow is melting ferociously around here! Good thing because our temps should be going up next week…finally!

Foodblog-30

Breakfast was a cozy bowl of Greek yogurt topped with bananas and one of my Cookie Dough Balls! Plus a nice drizzle of almond butter. Can I confess that I am so over sunflower butter? I don’t know why but it just tastes different to me now. Stale or something? I’m back to salty peanut butter and almond butter as my favorites.

We did manage to scrape ourselves out of the ice to get out and about!

We ended our errands at the gym where I had a training session with Erin and a 3 mile treadmill run. Mazen came out of Kidszone red faced and told me he “exercised” while I was gone!

Snuggles with baby Sawyer during his first visit to the gym cafe!

We had the Struckmanns over for lunch (cute there are 3 of them now!) I made grilled pimento cheese sandwiches, pear slices, other toddler finger foods and salads for the moms. Sawyer had milk ; )

I’m watching Sylvia for the afternoon, so it’s all silly time over here.

This is probably a dumb question… but do you just put pimento cheese on bread and grill it like any other grilled sandwich? Sounds amazing. I love pimento cheese (that’s why it can’t be in our house often)!

Yeah!! Just spread it on and grill. It melts beautifully!

I go through phases with my nut butter too! Sometimes I just get tired of having one too much! I go between almond butter, cashew butter and sunflower seed butter!

I went through a “not so much in love with sunflower seed butter” for a couple of months…and then I got back on the train again! Think we just over eat things sometimes so they loose their appeal!

I just noticed that stale taste this week, I hope it’s not a normal thing as I eat it in my oatmeal every.single.morning. My daughter has a peanut allergy, so no peanuts here! Love those temps, we’re supposed to be getting those next week here in MN!

      Maybe it’s a seasonal thing?!

so weird that you mentioned that about sunbutter… because i haven’t eaten in any months cause i just felt “over” it. but i think my jar might actually be stale by now ha.

Never snows in CA, lol! BTW I’d totally love to make those cookie dough balls in your yogurt!

I feel the EXACT same way about sunflower butter these days!! I was obsessed for the longest time and now it doesn’t taste as good. I can barely finish off my jar that’s been in the pantry forever. Back to lots of PB for me 🙂

Maybe something about the sunflower seeds changed?!
