It’s Thursday, Thursday, Thursday

In case you forgot what day it is…

IMG_7529-2Blog

Because I sure did! I love me some mid-week partying, but sometimes it throws the week off.

Especially when pancakes are served 😉

IMG_7519-2Blog

I have a lot to do today plus a haircut and business at the bakery this afternoon, so I’m getting a move on – with pancakes in the belly.

Cakes-2Blog

Kodiak cakes (which make mid-week pancakes a cinch because they are just-add-water and we are out of milk!) plus bananas (cooked in and on), Biscoff spread and Barney Butter.

IMG_7528-2Blog

Cocktail du jour – more coconut pouchong!

Haircut days are the best! Are you going anything different? Last weekend I chopped mine off and dyed it red on a fall-inspired whim. 🙂

I love haircut days, too! I have very, very, very thick hair that I keep in a pixie-ish cut, so I have to get it cut every 3 weeks and I LOVE a fresh haircut 🙂

I was supposed to have a hair appt today, but I rescheduled it for a couple of weeks from now. I just ran out of time to fit it in this week! 🙁

Where do you get Kodiak Cakes (besides OpenSky? I’m not a happy OS customer right now – the last bunch of granola I ordered from you arrived 26 days after I ordered it. Ridiculous). Are they in stores?

You don’t think the 26 days were intentional?!

I think people have found it at TJ Maxx type stores. I haven’t seen it in stores yet

I can get kodiak Cakes at my local grocery which is a Kroger affiliate. I bet that you can request that your store order them. They are not much cheaper, but you can get them immrdiately with no shipping costs.

Our favorite way to have Kodiak cakes lately is with sliced banana and fresh strawberries mixed into the batter. The strawberries get so sweet as they cook, and I swear it makes the cakes fluffier. It’s just like strawberry shortcake.

Must be a fall thing. I noticed egg nog in the store yesterday and immediatly though of GH bread dipped in it and griddled for French toast! Yummers!
