IT’S HERE!!

Christmas music is finally allowed. Woo. Hoo.

We got in a little relaxing this afternoon! I laid horizontal on the couch and watched House Hunters. Ahhhh.

But in the middle dad offered to walk with me to run an errand at the shopping center and I jumped at the opportunity for company – literally 🙂 We walked for about 30 minutes there and back. Came home to find the brothers out bike riding and mom takin’ a snooze!

‘Round 6 we geared up for dinner, piled into two cars and Christmas caroled our way to Brixx!

IMG_0032 (640x480)

The brothers bonded over brews. Per usual.

IMG_0034 (640x480)

When we sat down I had my traditional beer sampler. My favorite part of Brixx!! Tonight’s had the Bad Penny, Sam Adams Winter, Thirsty Dog Pumpkin (questionably AS GOOD AS the Cottonwood!!!) and Anchor Winter. [I had some help with these from the taste testers]

IMG_0035 (640x480)

We shared a bruschetta

IMG_0036 (640x480)

I had one

IMG_0037 (640x480)

I got the Spinach Salad for dinner (with goat cheese instead of feta)

IMG_0043 (640x480)

Can’t go to Brixx without a few pizzas.

IMG_0038 (640x480) IMG_0039 (640x480) (2) IMG_0040 (640x480) (2)

I had a slice of 2/3 flavas

IMG_0044 (640x480)

Once home and settled, we broke out the sugar.

I’ve been saving these Sweet N Salty Pretzels for my mom since i received them.

IMG_0046 (640x480)

Bianca of Sweet N Salty by Design sent them for me to try. They are simply BEAUTIFUL and hand-made. Pretzels covered in sugar and spice and all things nice: peanut butter chips, toffee chips, white chocolate, toffee and more.

IMG_0050 (640x480)

I wish I’d had sunlight to take some gorgeous photos of them!!

IMG_0049 (640x480) (2)

Mom and I tried the butterscotch white chocolate first. Divine!!

IMG_0055 (640x480) (2)

And I had a piece of the peanut butter chocolate. My mom is absolutely in love with them and raved about the sprinkles one!

IMG_0053 (640x480)

I went a little overboard and I had a sliver of each leftover pie too. ‘Tis the season for pies. They are now all gone, thank goodness. But I’m counting down the days till next year’s selection!

Night my friends 🙂

Oh, and i have a question about the whole “muffin in the oatmeal” thing, doesn’t that add up to a lot of calories, why not just have the muffin?

        Maria,
Just the muffin is boring. And crumbling makes it go very far. That’s why I use 1/3 a cup of oats – to save room for toppings.
