Hos. Pi. Tality.

If you want a homey feel and fantastic food, The Old Hotel is where to go. The owners are so very nice. And we slept SO well in our piles of comforters and flannel sheets. It’s only too bad that we had to be up early to get on the road!

IMG_8275Blog

But before we left, a gourmet breakfast!

IMG_8298Blog

IMG_8281Blog

Strong locally roasted coffee sure beats hotel pots!

IMG_8273Blog

The bread basket with apple butter and jam.

IMG_8276Blog

Notice that we both dove for the butter first! Matt has taught me how much butter enhances bread. Just a thin layer on mine – he slathers it on!

IMG_8278Blog

IMG_8279Blog

While waiting for our breakfast to arrive I taught Matt to do the smiling frown

IMG_8285Blog

The ultimate MOM face

IMG_8287Blog

I think he’s got it?

IMG_8288Blog

To eat we turned down smoked salmon eggs benedict and crepes for what we really wanted: oatmeal and yogurt. But fancified!

IMG_8291Blog

The oatmeal was served with hot buttery sweet apples and upon our request – a bowl of peanut butter!!

IMG_8295Blog IMG_8294Blog IMG_8293Blog

The yogurt – perfectly plain – had maple, blackberries and a croissant

IMG_8296Blog

We took a big bite out of this bad boy but I was more into the yogurt – for real.

IMG_8297Blog

Matt and I shared both dishes because we couldn’t decide which was better. I am now stuffed with my two favorite breakfasts and dressed for some snowshoeing! We’re off to Bozeman for the rest of the weekend. Can’t wait to return!

I love B&Bs! Great owners make the experience so much better. I was at a B&B in Edinburgh, Scotland and the owners were two of the nicest people I have ever met. They made me a special breakfast every morning because I am a vegetarian and they told me to call them if I needed anything when I was in London and they would drive down and help me. How sweet is that!?
