Homeroom

I had breakfast in my homeroom today before I head off to first period

 this !

IMG_3199 (640x427)

The Mix:

  • 1 container Stonyfield Pumpkin yogurt
  • ~1/3 cup pumpkin
  • Cinnamon
  • 1/2 banana
  • TJ’s pumpkin butter
  • ~1/3 cup Kashi Warm Cinnamon
  • ~1/4 cup Mix My Granola
  • NUTTZO!

IMG_3204 (640x427)

IMG_3202 (640x427)

My honda with no wheels [hope that isn’t a bad omen!] floating in Christmas Blend Decaf and a new flavor I was sent to review: Caftea Chocolate Cherry Cordial. So far, delish!

Re. brushing my teeth. I always brush them first thing! Wouldn’t leave the house without that. But I usually brush them again after breakfast. I’ve used those Wisps before and LOVE them, but they are so expensive that I can’t see using one everyday! I think I will just finish my coffee and then swish with water a bit. I don’t chew gum (the sugar alcohols mess up my GI tract) so I could also pop an Altoid if I need it 🙂

I’m off!

Ah i keep forgetting how good pumpkin is in oatmeal. Although i think i’ll have to get a little further from the holidays to try that.

Also wish that My My Granola company shipped outside of the states.

Anyways, your breakfast looks delicious, and i wish i could coax myself out of bed as early as you do.

Hmmmp. I live in Alaska, which is in the states, and many places, including Amazon, won’t ship “grocery” products here. Found this out when I wanted to buy coffee pods for my new Keurig coffee maker.

    Have a great day, Kath!

I normally brush in the am and then rinse with mouthwash after. Works pretty well. I also keep a toothbrush at work and am thankful to work in a place that has toothbrushes and mouthwash on hand when needed 😀

That coffee looks good! Can you taste the cherry flavor? I have a 30 minute commute to work and I always drink my coffee in the car. I have started keeping a toothbrush at work just for that reason! Of course, it sounds like you guys hit the ground running so that might not be a possibility for you.

I learned this one from my mom but we both keep toothbrushes in our desks and I keep floss in my purse. People don’t look at me too funny when I brush my teeth in the public restroom at work ;). Good luck with your busy busy days!

Flossing in public always makes me think of the movie “Pretty Woman” when Julia Robert’s character won’t tell what she was doing in the restroom or what she is hiding in her hand. When he finally gets her to open her hand all she has is floss. It’s funny that people feel uncomfortable brushing and flossing in front of others. Maybe I’ve shared too many small spaces with groups of people, but I don’t really think twice about it.

I have the same issue with gum! It actually also gives me migraines, probably as a combination of the tension/pressure caused by chewing and the artificial sweeteners. I can’t even have artificial sweeteners in my coffee anymore (though I suppose that’s probably a good thing, right?!).

I try not to brush my teeth more than three times max in a day because doing so can erode your enamel, which leads to cavities and other issues. Some people are more senstive to this than others (have thinner enamel) so I don’t know whether or not it matters for everyone…

I used to be embarrassed to brush my teeth in the middle of the day in the faculty bathroom but I realized that I was being silly. It’s a healthy habit and more people should do it! And, on the embarrassing topic…gum gives me gas. 🙁 I hear that’s fairly common.

It seems that you two eat SO healthfully, but over the course of your blog it looks like hes lost maybe a little more than he needed? I hope this isnt uncalled for, but should we be a lil worried? I think its important to recognize insecurities/body image with the male population as well.
