Happy Trails To You

Sarah and I took Gus for a walk on the greenway this morning to get some fresh air. We just didn’t feel like being stuck inside the gym on such a pretty, crisp, fall-like day. We walked a 5k or so out there. (But GAH the pollen is insane right now!)

I spent the rest of my morning working on recipe posts and editing the 200 pictures I took yesterday!

Much needed shower break!

And for lunch: a kale mix salad with Caesar dressing, ham and gorgonzola and a homemade pumpkin muffin! Recipe TBA, but I think it’s the best muffin I’ve ever made. (Which isn’t saying much, just sayin’!)

I am heading off to pick Mazen up from school shortly, and we have no plans all afternoon, so I’ll have to see what he comes up with!

    Today was a beautiful fall weather kind of day! And I figured the pollen count was high as I have had a sinus headache the past few days.

    Love your shower bench! Where is it from? I have been looking for one for awhile and having trouble finding one that doesn’t have reviews saying it is going to worn out quickly.

      It’s this one! I’ve had it for 2.5 years (almost) and it’s doing well. I had to take it out and fix ‘er up after about 1.5 years – tighten screws and really descale some of the surface, but I would buy it again.

    How far do you take Gus up the trail? I always thought you had to stop before the bridges, but I haven’t been in awhile.

      Cvillian?! I usually turn around at the bridge. The trail goes a little further up – maybe another 1/3 to half a mile to Dunlora

        Oh I thought you were on the Monticello Trail, I stopped walking it as much once I got a dog, because you couldn’t go all the way up to Monticello. And yes, I live in cville too!

          Oh,yeah I was on the bypass greenway. That is tricky about the Monticello trail and dogs!
